BREAKING NEWS! Updated 8:05 p.m.

Update, August 30, 2012, 8:05 p.m.:

Several reporters have contacted me and advised that the arrest will not take place tom0rrow.  The suspect is still under criminal investigation and he has retained a defense attorney.  I will update with any developments as they arise.

After days of speculation, swirling rumors and dirt digging, it was finally confirmed to me by a credible source that someone very prominent in North Miami Beach is about to be arrested.  Being the responsible pseudo-journalist that I am, I won’t divulge his name until I have an actual public record to prove  it, but as soon as I have confirmation, you’ll be the first to know.

The moral of this story is that dirty politics and stupidity don’t mix.

Govern responsibly.

Update, August 30, 2012, 7:55 p.m.:

I just received word from the Miami Herald reporter working on the story that the suspect’s attorney has managed to forestall an arrest until probably next week.  The attorney is presently in negotiations to “try to work something out.”  The story is scheduled to appear in tomorrow’s newspaper.  I will post an updated blog in the morning after the story is published.

  1. Assuming that the person is who it is rumored to be, I think the entirety of NMB owes Steph a debt of gratitude for her relentless efforts. I find it sad that other, equally culpable local politicians (in our City and others) escape the wrath of Lady Justice so easily but it is at least encouraging that not everyone gets away with it. Thank you Stephanie.

    1. David, thanks but it was a group effort. I could never do what I do without the effort and dedication of the people who work behind the scenes to help me dig the dirt. I’d love to give credit but my helpers wish to remain anonymous.

      1. I don’t think that what you do is digging for dirt. what you dig for is the truth; its never dirt; it is what it is. It may be abhorrent to some observers but truth is truth and falsity is what it is

And, the falsity of this particular perp is finally becoming apparent to the most casual of observers. In my view voter fraud is one of the more heinous of crimes that can be committed simply because of the potential damage that can be inflicted on the community.

    1. Sorry, not rumors. It was confirmed by a reporter that I’ve been working with, who got it from the horse’s mouth. If you don’t want to believe it, be my guest.

    2. OH, IT’S ABSOLUTELY TRUE! WHEN YOU SEE THAT HIS ATTORNEY WEARS A BOW TIE, YOU’LL KNOW STEPHANIE SCOOPED IT FIRST.

BEYOND GREAT NEWS FOR SUCH A SHAMEFUL PIECE OF S*@#! TO THINK HE FOOLED SO MANY INCLUDING HIS POOR FAMILY. TO THINK THIS WAS OUR CITY’S MAYOR. THANKFULLY THIS DIDN’T HAPPEN WHILE HE WAS IN OFFICE,
      T H A N K G O O D N E S S !

TO STEPHANIE, THANK YOU IS NOT ENOUGH FOR ALL OF YOUR TERRIFIC RESEARCH AND REPORTING.. YOU DESERVE A TICKER TAPE PARADE IN NMB. LOCAL BLOGGERS SHOULD BE HAILED, THEY GET DONE WHAT MANY PAID REPORTERS DON’T DO. I HAVE A FEELING WE HAVEN’T SEEN THE END OF THIS TYRANT’S TROUBLES, I KNOW STEPH MUST HAVE A LOT MORE UP HER SLEEVE. GO GET ‘EM, CHAMP!

      1. Stephanie Kienzle’s blog is a powerful machine! I think you are right that this tyrant’s troubles are not over. Also, I think that any politician, or board member, or letf fund seeker, that even dreams of being corrupt in NMB should now be well aware that the Gadfly does not leave any stones unturned.

      2. Voter’s Opinion blog of April 2012 entitled “No Cheating” is very interesting. A nonprofit whose articles say that the corporation cannot participate in any political campaign for someone running for political office was paid 3,000.00 for political consulting? It’s seems odd that a nonprofit like that would be paid for political consulting.
