Andre Pierre’s Last Stand?

Are handcuffs in North Miami mayor Andre Pierre’s future?  We can only hope.

As Miami Herald reporter Nadege Green just published, North Miami Mayor Andre Pierre’s bus bench ads prompt investigation, Hizzoner is under the microscope for allegedly committing the same crimes that earned North Miami Beach EX-mayor Myron Rosner a trip to the Miami-Dade County Jail.  Perhaps Andre will soon star in his own production similar to Myron’s Big (House) Adventure.  Wouldn’t that be fun?

Actually, Andre even topped Myron in the Chutzpah Department.  In addition to putting up pre-campaign, fake Happy Holidays bus benches and perhaps also bullying the same vendor into giving him the campaign bus ads at a deep, um, discount, Le Roi de North Miami also managed to obtain a huge “billboard ad that was erected on top of the City Inn Hotel…on the east side of Interstate 95” near NW 81st Street.  According to the Herald, the owners of the billboard (“the Burstyn family”) also own commercial property in North Miami, as well as manage a piece of property on which North Miami holds a second mortgage.  Sweet!  Pierre only reported paying an in-kind donation of $500.00 for the billboard ad.

What a coincidence!  As I reported in Priceless!, that’s exactly the amount of an in-kind donation that Myron tried to report for his campaign bus bench ads, which had an actual retail value of approximately $20,000.00, according to Martin Outdoor Media’s website.  (Fortunately, I kept screen shots of Martin’s published prices because, unfortunately, its website is no longer available.)

In addition to these two matters (as if that weren’t enough), “the elections commission is also investigating whether Pierre left out the full name, address and occupation of a contributor, as well as multiple accounts that Pierre received more than the $500 contribution limit from individuals and businesses.”

Wow!  Even Myron didn’t think of that!

Corrupt minds do think alike, however.  Andre contacted the very same criminal attorney that Myron hired, Ben Kuehne, Esq., whose business seems to be booming lately with all the dirty politicians in South Florida finally getting what they deserve.  Mr. Kuehne is also scheduled to appear in court this Friday to defend his client, former Opa-locka councilman Terence Pinder at his Felony Racketeering trial.  So many crooks, so little time.

The reporter attempted to contact the parties for this story, however…

Andre Pierre did not return her call;
Ben Kuehne did not return her call;
Martin Outdoor Media did not return her call; and
The Burstyn family did not return her call.

Gee, that kinda sucks, eh?  Don’t sweat it, Nadege.  I’m sure it’s not personal.

It’s just business as usual in North Miami politics.

  1. Thank the Lord that we are seem to finally be getting a handle on these creatures from hell. Yes hell; corrupt politicians are the worst of the worst and the penalties that can be imposed if found guilty don’t come anywhere near to fitting the crime. Scumbags like Rosner and this clown Pierre should be tucked away for life in solitary at a federal, max located somewhere out in the deserts of northern Nevada; say the area 51 bombing range.

  2. This is no surprise to anyone in North Miami. Pierre and Rosner were all chummy right around the time of Pierre’s reelection. They were seen lunching in, and around North Miami and they were overheard talking about their tactics and exchanging information on “how to do this” meaning getting re-elected and how to work the system. Too stupid to even consider the people sitting right around them in these little diners and deli’s. THey probably figured they were the inconsequential “little people” and didn’t give a damn. They’re both scum and they’re peas in a pod. It should surprise no one.
