VotersOpinion Darwin Award Nominee of the Month

Darwin Awards1After crashing through the gates of a charter school in Pembroke Pines early this morning*, Emilio Espinoza-Rojas decided a police cruiser was fair game.  According to the news stories just posted on Channel 6Channel 7 and Channel 10, the 24-year old slammed into a police car, then took off.  While trying to escape, he lost a tire, ran into a tree and flipped over.  Both the suspect and the police officer were treated at the hospital and released.

Congratulations, Emilio!  You are now officially nominated for a 2013 Darwin Award.  Maybe a nice long stint in the hoosegow will give you plenty of time to figure out what you did wrong and how you can avoid tempting fate again in the future.

You should be proud of yourself, though.  After all, it’s an honor just to be nominated.

*Correction:  This happened yesterday morning, not this morning.  It’s being corrected because Random Pixels reminded me to always check the date and read S-L-O-W-L-Y.  Thanks, RP.  What would I do without you?  😉
