The ongoing saga of the Three Racketeers

Three RacketeersWhile we’re on the topic of FELONY cases, in case anyone is interested in the CRIMINAL trials of Dante Edward Starks and Terence Kenneth Pinder, the partners-in-crime of Faustin Denis, Jr., (of Biscayne Landing/IMECO fame), here is a news brief:

Since December 16, 2013, according to the most recent docket, Starks’ attorney, Roderick Vereen, filed a Motion to Dismiss, which was denied, two status conferences were set, one pre-trial conference was set, two orders were signed, three subpoenas were issued, and one amended discovery pleading was filed.  A trial hearing is scheduled for February 3, 2014.

Terence Pinder’s docket is almost identical until January 2, 2014 when his attorney, Benedict P. Kuehne, entered a Written Plea of Not Guilty to Amended Information.  His trial hearing is also scheduled for February 3, 2014.

As you’ve probably caught on by now, docket dates are really just figments of our collective imagination.  Much like unicorns.  These cases will most likely not go to trial for at least another year.

At least.

And, anything can happen between now and then.

The only sure thing we can count on is that Super Bowl XLVIII will be played on February 2, 2014.

You read that right.  Super Bowl 48!

Feelin’ old yet?

  1. Stick to this stuff instead of going off on your moral crusade against Asians and massage parlors. You seem to have a head on your shoulders when you discuss these types of issues. OTOH, you sound lilke you’re on a witchhunt when you go off foaming and frothing about massage parlors.

    1. Mel, darlin’, the “witchhunt” is ovah. I had my reasons at the time, but I’ve moved on. BTW, I don’t foam and froth, but I do hyperventilate on occasion. In any event, thanks for reading my blog.

    2. Dear Mel, why so touchy about massage parlors? Well you know a lady can froth and hunt (and hyperventilate) about more than one thing at a time! And the sad subject deserves some “ink” in a town with very few reporters left or “beats”, don’t try to silence the voices unless… unless… 🙂 Sending good wishes.

      1. Mel took issue with my series on Asian massage parlors. Oh, well. As a good friend of mine once said, I’ve learned that pleasing everyone is impossible, but pissing everyone off is a piece of cake. So true. 🙂
