Nothing to see here. Seriously. GTFO!

Seems LegitThere has still been no “official” word from the NMBPD about the four, count ’em, four shootings that took place in our ‘hood over the weekend.  Good thing I didn’t hold my breath, huh?  Yeah, I knew better.

I do know that some actual journalists, as opposed to Little Ol’ Blogger Me, have been also trying to get information to no avail.  When I asked if any details were divulged by the Police Department, a reporter told me, “Two drive-bys and one at a club.  I think.”

Yeah … looks like Public Information to me!

Since no “official” press releases have been forthcoming, you might as well consider this as your unofficial one:

The City of North Miami Beach

From the Desk of No One in Particular

March 28-30, 2014:

  • Four shootings
  • Lots of bullets
  • No casualties
  • No deaths

Nothing to see here, folks.  Move right along.

In other NMB news, the North Miami Beach Council meeting started a while ago at 7:30 PM.  If you’re not at the meeting and are interested in the proceedings, here is the Agenda so you can follow it on television or online.  Hurry up and catch it or you’ll miss all the excitement.

Not listed on Agenda are all the random shootings in our city.

What’s also not listed on the Agenda, but what one of my sources told me today, is that the City Council might announce a surprise appointment of an Interim City Attorney by the name of Jose Smith, who is the current Miami Beach City Attorney.  You might also remember that Mr. Smith is one of the individuals chosen to be on the selection committee for a new City Attorney, but I was informed that he resigned from that committee in order to apply for the job.  If my tipster had correct information, this could be very interesting indeed.

When it comes to North Miami Beach City Council meetings, always expect the unexpected.

  1. They actually made a motion to suspend the search committee and offer Jose Smith the position. They directed, through the City Manager, Rose Amberson to negotiate a contract with him and report back to the Council at the 4/22/14 meeting. Per Barbara Kramer, he does not want a pension or medical benefits, just match the salary the Darcee was making. As of now he would have to take a pension as is required by the Charter Employees. If the council had not tabled the change of this at the last meeting in March, his request could be honored without an issue.

Did you see Pierre object to this and claim that Jose Smith should apply like everyone else to be vetted by the Search Committee in the name of transparency? Many people in the audience agreed with him (go figure) and they were not part of the “Haitian Majority.”

BTW, Mackenzie Fluerimond (sp) and another of Pierre’s buddies with the last name of Hardy were in the audience last night. I guess we may have another round of carpet baggers trying to ruin the election of 2015.
