LOL. I can’t believe they published that. I wonder what the speed limit was in 58.
How crazy is that letter? I cracked up when I read these two sentences:
“They didn’t even give us time for breakfast.”
“How does one face the neighbors after an experience such as this?”
Were people really that clueless in the 50s?
It was hilarious.
But, that car is awesome!
I love that picture, too. That was from another website, but it was so cool I had to post it.
My favorite line is, “The following week I was sick and forgot all about the summons.” Talk about lame excuses – this letter is full of them.
I bet she had no clue what an idiot she sounded like. Then again, have you read any current letters to the editor lately? Some of them are just as loony as this one.
You are so right…she did not have a clue. I wonder if this lady’s sickly son could have grown up to become someone important….like maybe a former mayor of NMB…ya think???
