Because #Justice (Updated)

All gave someThis morning in New York City, the families of two sons/husbands/brothers/fathers/uncles/nephews are waking up to the horrific notion that their loved one will not be coming home for Christmas.  If they got any sleep at all, that is.

Somehow I doubt it.

As New York City Police Commissioner William Bratton said, “They were quite simply assassinated, targeted for their uniform.”

Because #Justice

Team Irony can’t help but note that the murdered officers aren’t exactly “white.”  One was Asian and the other Hispanic.  Cop hating murderers conveniently ignore the obvious to further their agenda.

Because #Justice.

And, never mind that the widow (and daughter) of Eric Garner, who died while being arrested, told NBC’s Meet the Press, “I don’t feel like it’s a black and white thing,” while master race baiter Al Sharpton shot daggers at her for destroying the narrative…

NBC Meet the PressBecause #Justice

Never mind that only a week ago, Sharpton led a march on Washington to protest a so-called “epidemic of abuse at the hands at police,” while protesters in New York chanted, “What do we want?  Dead cops!  When do we want it?  Now!”…

Because #Justice.

Never mind that a world famous rapper Jayceon Terrell Taylor, who calls himself The Game, and who has made millions upon millions of dollars on record-buying “racists,” joyfully reveled at the death of two police officers.

When his Twitter followers reacted in horror, he posted on Instagram , “You can hate me, not like me, say FUCK GAME or UNFOLLOW or never support my MUSIC again because I have an opinion… SO WHAT, I DO NOT GIVE A FUCK !!! [To Be Continued..]

But, no worries.  Apparently, it’s okay for rappers to condone killing cops.

Because #Justice

It hasn’t escaped the attention of Team Irony, which couldn’t help but notice how many cop-hating white people have jumped on the #BlackLivesMatter bandwagon, while becoming the butt of jokes (or worse) by blacks on Twitter.

Well, because #Justice, you know.

Team Irony also noted that only hours ago while all of us were sleeping soundly in our beds, at three o’clock this morning, yet another police officer was shot and killed near Tampa.

But, of course.

Team Irony also must point out that only two hours ago, police officers were shot at while responding to a shooting in Philadelphia.

CBSPhillyJust a guess here, but…

Because #Justice?

And finally, the 24 hour news cycle is exploding with stories about all the the recent attacks on police officers in America, yet somehow, as Team Irony will pointedly note here, my motives for doing the same thing will be questioned.

Because, well, you know, #Justice and all that.

RIP NYPD

  1. These 2 men who were assassinated by a coward are true heroes and will go down in the annals of American Law Enforcement as such.
On the heals of the horrific assassination of Officer Liu and Ramos in NYC another Police Officer was murdered while providing service to his community yesterday.

  2. Leave it to the anarchists and left winged liberals to incite an uprising and destroy the fabric of our nation. Every day men and women in law enforcement across this nation put on a uniform and go out to protect us. God bless these heros for their love of law and order.

  3. Sorry, but if someone can talk, they can breathe. If he shouted it, he could really breathe hard. Someone choking can’t talk because they can’t breathe. Why doesn’t anyone state that to react to these non truths?

  4. I guess it is because no one wants to stir up more controversy or it’s because it would hurt their angle of protests. The murders of the two NYPD officers as well as the Officer near Tampa were just the beginning unless the police can bring some peace to the community.

    1. What more do police officers have to do to bring peace to communities? What is the responsibility of the members of the community? Aren’t they supposed to obey the law and show respect for authority? When did rioting, looting, stopping traffic, assaulting police officers, and drive by shooting become acceptable forms of behavior? The police can only do so much with that kind of insanity.
