Monday Night Funnies!

spider-kittensNorth Miami Beach EX-Mayor Myron Rosner’s criminal trial on charges of FOUR FELONIES and five misdemeanors was scheduled to begin on June 1, 2015.

According to the most recent docket, on May 18, 2015 his trial was continued for the TENTH time.

Despite the efforts of former Ethics Commission Investigator Kennedy Rosario and Public Corruption Unit Detective Luis Rodriguez, who appealed all the way to the Florida Supreme Court to have Myron’s arrest warrant signed by a Broward County judge on September 20, 2012, Myron has STILL  not answered for his crimes.

Nine previous trial dates have been scheduled.

All have been cancelled.

Let’s face it, Myron will most likely never stand trial.  I have absolutely no faith that Miami-Dade County State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle will prosecute the husband of CIRCUIT COURT JUDGE SARAH ZABEL.

Myron’s CRIMINAL LAWYER Benedict P. Kuehne will most likely delay the trial a few more times until a plea deal is cut.  Good old Kathy is up for re-election next year and she needs to get this mess off her plate before campaign season starts in earnest.

Here’s why.  Kathy’s gonna need her go-to-guy Al Lorenzo to run her campaign again.  She simply can’t have his name be brought to the forefront in connection with a criminal trial for campaign finance fraud.  That’s just not good PR!

As Kennedy Rosario wrote in his Memorandum dated November 5, 2012:

It is of note and publicly known that Lorenzo was also acting as a campaign consultant for Kathy Rundle’s re-election campaign for Dade County State Attorney.

On February 1, 2012 a meeting was held at the SAO attended by Chief Assistant for Special Prosecutions Jose Arroyo, Division Chief for Organized Crime and R.I.C.O Howard Rosen, Assistant State Attorney Breeyze Telfair, MDPD Pubic Corruption Investigations Bureau Sgt. Marisol Garbutt, Detective Louis Rodriguez, Financial Analyst Maggie Amaya-Rivas, Commission on Ethics Investigator Breno Penichet and Investigator Kennedy Rosario.

The meeting produced a consensus between all parties that the SAO could not continue as the prosecution agency due to a possible conflict of interest involving Lorenzo.

Conveniently for Kathy Rundle, “It was mutually decided that the Lorenzo information/investigation would be bifurcated until such time as the Rosner investigation reached a conclusion. The question of possible Florida election violations would then be addressed through consultation with the Florida Elections Commission.”

In case you’re wondering, that consultation never happened because the Florida Elections Commission (FEC) hasn’t even had the opportunity to hold a probable cause hearing on the two original complaints filed in April of 2011.

Ironically, the information alleged in those two Complaints eventually led to the criminal investigation.

Yet despite Myron’s arrest in 2012, the FEC has yet to determine probable cause.

Go figure.

Ben Kuehne has managed to delay the FEC proceedings for more than five years and counting.  The most recent Notice of Hearing letters dated May 5, 2015 scheduled the probable cause hearing for Case No. FEC 11-087 and FEC 11-089 on May 20, 2015.

Chances are good that Ben waved his magic delay wand yet again.  I won’t be surprised to find copies of the Order Continuing the Case in my mailbox in due course.

In the five years since the complaints were filed, Investigator Kennedy Rosario and Detective Luis Rodriguez literally burned themselves out trying to bring Myron to justice.  They eventually retired in disgust and have all but given up the futile fight against public corruption.  Rosario and Rodriguez have since joined forces to form a private investigation firm where their talents are truly appreciated.

They left a huge void in their respective law enforcement agencies that no one has been able – or permitted – to fill.

Courtesy of Kathy Rundle.

The moral of that story is:  If you hire Al Lorenzo as your campaign consultant or marry CIRCUIT COURT JUDGE SARAH ZABEL, you’re free to go.

Myron’s campaign finance fraud felony case is just one of  scores of investigations that go nowhere in Miami-Dade County under Katherine Fernandez Rundle’s watch.  She is also loathe to touch cases of absentee ballot fraud, a crime that is completely out of control, especially in North Miami and North Miami Beach.  The perpetrators are well known by everyone who has a voter’s registration card.  These criminals brazenly do their dirty work in broad daylight during campaign season because they already know no one will stop them.

The corruption in Miami-Dade County is so rampant, runs so deep, and goes so far up the food chain, that it literally boggles the mind.

Battling fraud and corruption is a thankless job.  It’s no wonder so many people who have taken up the charge eventually give up the fight.

There are times when I truly wish I didn’t care.  Life would be so much easier if I could just close my eyes to the corruption, ignore the dirty politicians and go about my business.

Like Kathy does.

But, for some crazy, inexplicable reason, I can’t look away.

Yes, it’s infuriating.  It’s frustrating.  It makes me want to scream!

What helps me keep my sanity is keeping my sense of humor.  For sport, I amuse myself by surfing the ‘net for funny stuff and laughing until my sides hurt.

Today was one of those days.

In case you need a healthy dose of laughter, too, I thought I’d share some of the giggles.

This one’s for Myron:

  1. WHERE ARE THE AUTHORITIES? Oh my goodness, they are here and doing absolutely nothing. What a disgusting joke south Florida has become especially North Miami and North Miami Beach.

    1. You have no idea just how much “nothing” the authorities are actually doing. What I’ve reported on so far is just the tip of the iceberg! When the whole truth finally comes out, it will make your blood boil. Wait for it!

  2. Myron has found a way to beat the system at most levels and it appears the easy way is to “wear them out with “re-schedules”. Is there a “Statue of Limitations” waiting around the bend? Something is up, just wait and see.

    1. Myron’s criminal defense lawyer roams the halls of the SAO, telling Kathy’s prosecutors what to do. The criminal justice system in Miami-Dade County is nothing but a racket for the benefit of politicrats who will, in turn, help KFR get re-elected. She has operatives everywhere in place protecting her, including the Mayor, U.S. Attorney’s Office and the FBI. Why do you think she’s still in power? The corruption is almost as bad as Chicago.

  3. As a former deputy attorney general I know the pressure put on us and what happens if you do not go along. I was sent home. We must get the public to get rid of Kathy next election. Unless they the public like living in a crooked County

    1. Good luck with that. As long as elections in Miami-Dade County are rigged, the corruptocrats will remain in power. The SAO’s office is a cesspool of corruption.

    1. Not about the Myron situation, but thanks for the suggestion. It can’t hurt and, what the hell, I have her on speed dial. Might as well!

  4. Hey, FrantziePhyllisPauleSusie, I see you’ve been busy reading “the blogs” by the thumb down. Or, perhaps it’s your Boy Wonder who got his little feelings hurt. Poor baby! I guess I’m hitting a nerve, huh? Love it!
