Hot off the presses is a lawsuit filed late this afternoon by Michael Joseph and the Jewish Leadership Coalition against Phyllis Smith in her official capacity as a member of the North Miami Beach City Council. The lawsuit also names the City Clerk, City Attorney and City Manager, in their official capacities as members of the North Miami Beach Municipal Canvassing Board.
The premise of the lawsuit is that rampant absentee ballot fraud resulted in tainted election results.
The Plaintiffs are asking that absentee ballots received in two precincts be disqualified, alleging that most of those ballots were either fraudulently obtained or outright stolen.
Phyllis was just served with this lawsuit a few minutes ago at City Hall, and boy does she have some ‘splainin’ to do!
As does Frantz Pierre.
There is a long list of 24 items that was requested from Phyllis in the First Request for Production that was filed with the lawsuit. Phyllis will also have to answer 18 pages of questions that are asked of her in the First Set of Interrogatories that was also filed.
This should keep Phyllis busy for a while.
It might actually help to shut her up for a change, too.
Then again, if the Plaintiffs make their case, Phyllis will have plenty of time on her hands.
As you might imagine, I’m privy to lots more information about this lawsuit. Unfortunately, I’m not at liberty to discuss the details at this time.
But, trust me. It’s good stuff!
