Florida Elections Commission to Myron: “Talk to the Honey Badger!”

Sometimes I ask myselfWhen I received my latest notices of probable cause hearings from the Florida Elections Commission regarding the complaints I filed against Myron Rosner, I simply tossed them in the pile of other complaints and notices I’ve received over the years.  I figured that Myron’s lawyer, Benedict P. Kuehne, would somehow wave his Magic Delay Wand and wrangle yet another continuance from the agency beleaguered with hundreds of complaints every year from around the state.

Like so many other hearings that have come and gone since I filed those complaints in April of 2011, I fully expected this one to be pushed to February of next year or beyond.

Imagine my surprise when I checked the FEC website!  According to the minutes of the November 17, 2015 meeting, the Commission found PROBABLE CAUSE ON TEN, COUNT ‘EM, TEN COUNTS of violations of the Florida Statutes!

FEC Ruling 11-17-15Way to go, Myron!

As I always say, if you’re gonna fail, FAIL BIG!

According to my sources, Ben Kuehne didn’t show up at the hearing this time, but sent a local Tallahassee lawyer to attend in his stead.

The Tallassee lawyer put on his Ben Kuehne hat and tried to get yet another continuance.  He asked the Commission to reschedule until after Myron’s Miami-Dade County criminal trial, which is set for the two week period beginning February 29, 2016 through March 11, 2016.  (Yeah, I know.  Don’t hold your breath!)

I’m told the Commission laughed him out of the room.

Honey Badger don't careOrders of probable cause from the Commission will be filed within ten days of the meeting.  Myron will then have the opportunity to request a formal hearing of the charges filed against him.

As always, I’ll be keeping you posted.

  1. WOW! They (FEC) were paying attention this time! Sending someone to do his “delay trick” did not work. I’m sure more is up his… (whatever).

    1. I know, right? I can’t tell you how many times I’ve watched it, and I crack up every time. I’m giggling just thinking about it.

  2. The silver lining in all of these delays is that Ben Kuene has long finished his pro-bono work for Myrin and has to be sending him a legal bill for every delay he accomplishes. At least Myron’s legal bills are meeting out some justice.
