The Mystery Man of NMB

L’il Frantzie P envisions himself as a Man of Mystery.  He struts his zoot suited self around town like he’s hot stuff.  He’s actually quite comical.  And I have a feeling he’s in for a very rude awakening.

As I told you in my recent columns, Instant Karma’s Gonna Get You and The Frantz Files, according to the voter registration records of Miami-Dade County, North Miami Beach councilman Frantz Pierre has a slew of people living at his house.  There are actually nine (not seven as I previously reported) registered voters listing Pierre’s address as their very own.  Their names are Marie Eleazard, Karry Joseph, Ange Joseph, Frantz Pierre, Joline Pierre, Reus Pierre, Jonathan Romelus, Marie Romelus and Katrina Monique Allison.  Ange Joseph and Reus Pierre were not included in my original list for some reason.  Reus appears to have been newly ensconced at the House of Pierre just in time to vote for the 2011 election and runoff.

You might also be interested in the fact that of those eight people, five of them (Ange, Karry, Frantz, Joline and Jonathan) plus one Leon Taylor, were registered to vote in the 2005 and 2007 NMB elections.  In 2005, only Karry and Frantz voted, but four of them (excluding Joline and Leon) voted in 2007 – the same year that Frantz ran for office for the first time.  As an aside, Jonathan Romelus voted in 2007 and 2009, but not in 2011.

With nine adults and allegedly five children living under one roof, Frantzie & Co. must be awfully crowded.  A spokeo.com search shows Ange Joseph, a woman in her late 50s, as living in the House of Pierre.

Ange Joseph

A spokeo.com search for Reus Pierre, a man in his early 50s, shows that a person by this same name and birth month and year (June of 1961) actually lives on NE 25th Street.  NEWS FLASH:  NE 25th Street is nowhere near North Miami Beach.

Reus Pierre

According to my research, and as I reported in my earlier column, I have now surmised that four people who are registered to vote at Frantz Pierre’s address may or may not actually live there, i.e., Reus Pierre, Karry Joseph, Katrina Monique Allison and Marie Eleazard.  This deduction is based on the phone numbers they have provided with their voter registrations and other information I obtained via some mad Googling.

But for now, let’s just focus on the individual named Marie Eleazard, who has been registered to vote at the House of Pierre since at least the 2009 North Miami Beach election.

On July 30, 2009, Ms. Eleazard formed a non-profit corporation by the name of Center for Family Empowerment, Inc.  According to the Articles of Incorporation filed with the Florida Secretary of State, the registered office of this corporation was listed as 1221 NE 206 Street, Miami, Florida 33179.  Marie E. Eleazard was named as Chairman/President, also listing the company’s address of 1221 NE 206 Street, Miami, Florida 33179 as her address.  While it’s quite common for principles of corporations to list their business addresses instead of their home addresses for the purposes of incorporation, according to Google Maps, this address appears to be a residential home and is not located in the City of North Miami Beach.

On October 29, 2009, the Articles of Incorporation were amended, but they still show Marie E. Eleazard as the President, with the same address as the corporation as noted above.

The corporation was administratively dissolved in 2010 for the non-filing of an annual report, which is due by May 1st each year, but was reinstated on October 13, 2010.  At that time, Marie E. Eleazard was now listed as the Registered Agent, President and Director of the corporation.  The thing to note here is that she listed her address as 1480 NW 144th Avenue, PEMBROKE PINES, Florida 33028.  I Google Mapped this address and it also appears to be a residence and not a commercial property.

For those who are not familiar with South Florida, Pembroke Pines is NOT North Miami Beach.  I hope we’re all clear on that fact!

On February 4, 2011, an annual report was filed to renew the corporation for last year.  This time, the corporate office was moved to 1733 NE 162nd Street, North Miami Beach, Florida 33162, an address actually located in North Miami Beach (Aha!  There is an NMB connection after all!), but Registered Agent, President and Director Marie E. Eleazard STILL lived in Pembroke Pines – the same address she listed on October 13, 2010.

The 2012 annual report is now due and must be filed before May 1st.  It will be interesting to see if Ms. Eleazard files the report and where she lives this year.

In summary, voting records show that Marie Eleazard claimed to live at the House of Pierre in North Miami Beach in order to vote in the 2009 NMB election.  Since she listed the address of the corporation as her mailing address, it’s quite possible she lived with Frantz and was able to vote for him in 2009.

BUT (and, yes, here’s the BIG BUT), when she filed to reinstate the corporation in October of 2010 and when she filed the 2011 annual report on February 4, 2011, BOTH TIMES SHE LISTED A PEMBROKE PINES ADDRESS as her own.

As I also mentioned in my earlier column, she also states on her Facebook page that she lives in PEMBROKE PINES.

I’d really love to know how Marie E. Eleazard was registered to vote in North Miami Beach, and in fact, did vote in both the 2009 and 2011 North Miami Beach city elections, when to me she obviously lives in PEMBROKE PINES.

The Mystery of Frantz Pierre continues and the plot thickens even further.  In fact, the plot is so thick, it’s starting to congeal.

If he really lives with eight other adults and five kids, he is in MAJOR VIOLATION of the North Miami Beach building code.  If all those people who are registered to vote at his house don’t live there, they are all in MAJOR VIOLATION OF THE VOTING LAWS OF THE STATE OF FLORIDA!

At press time, Mr. Pierre has yet to cop to either charge.  The Mystery Man of NMB isn’t going to give up that easily.

One thing you can be sure of … the Gadfly won’t, either.
