Let’s play “Family Values”

Those of us who are disgusted with rampant fraud and corruption in government shouldn’t be at all surprised that moral decay usually starts long before a first time candidate even contemplates running for office.  Folks here in North Miami and North Miami Beach, for example, continue to be aghast at the blatantly unethical and allegedly illegal acts perpetrated by the Two Pierres in a Pod, a/k/a Andre and Frantz.  Encouraged and abetted by a system that seems to protect them from accountability, they continue their devious ways seemingly impervious to the laws of the State of Florida and the various codes, resolutions, ordinances and charters of the cities they are supposed to be serving.

Citizen activists have been calling out the unethical and alleged criminal activities of these two politicians, among others, filing complaints which are all but ignored by the very organizations ostensibly created to protect the citizenry from malfeasance by public officials.  Even if these allegations are taken seriously by such agencies as the state and local ethics commissions, state attorney’s office, elections commissions as well as law enforcement, and charges are finally brought against the wrongdoers, hell freezes over before justice is served.

With a scant three weeks left to his final term in office, North Miami mayor Andre Pierre has thus far escaped any prosecution, with the lone exception of a measly $8,000.00 fine assessed by the Florida Elections Commission on March 13, 2013.  Big freaking deal!  Considering all the money he’s bilked out of the taxpayers for his special interest groups, not to mention what some suspect he’s helped himself to, an $8,000.00 fine is mere chump change to Andre Pierre.  He’s made enough “contacts” while in office to probably set him up for life.  In fact, public office is such a lucrative career for scoundrels like Andre, don’t count him out in future elections.

Meanwhile, it appears that Andre is busy trying to install candidates who, if elected, will insure his ties to the regime he’s help set up in North Miami.  It appears that in the mayoral race, Andre is backing either NON-RESIDENT Lucie Tondreau or Smith Joseph.  My guess is that he’s being noncommittal toward either candidate in the event one of them has a chance to grab the golden ticket.  He’s certainly not burning any bridges.

For District 2, Pierre is most likely counting on the incumbent Michael Blynn to keep his seat since Blynn can almost always be counted on to get confused and forget which way he’s voting.  Blynn could easily be swayed.  Or, at the very least, ferklempt.

In District 3, it appears that Andre is standing behind another possible NON-RESIDENT, Philippe Bien-Aime, who is generally believed to be the front runner.

What I am even more confident of is that Pierre is absolutely NOT going to back any of those candidates who have publicly called him out on his crooked ways, such as Gwendolyn Boyd, Kevin Burns, Carol Keys or Jacques Despinosse.  These candidates are the anti-Pierres, and should any of them win the election, Andre is toast.

In North Miami Beach we have our own Pierre to contend with, the City Council Class Clown, Frantz.  In the grand scale of fraud and corruption, L’il Frantzie P only wishes he were in his Pod-mate Andre’s league, but not for lack of trying.  Then again, The P Man has two more years in office, pending incarceration notwithstanding, to add more dirty tricks to his repertoire, so there’s a slight chance he’ll end up besting Andre’s record.  Especially if he keeps getting away scot-free with his alleged crimes and misdemeanors.

The P Man has placed two candidates in the North Miami Beach election in the hopes of stacking the council to get his own agenda passed.  He placed NON-ENTITY Jean D. Berrouet into the race for Group Group 2, a/k/a the open seat, which is being vacated by longtime Councilman Philippe Derose, and he pitted NON-RESIDENT Yvenoline Dargenson to run against the incumbent, Councilwoman Beth Spiegel for Group 4.

Despite being outed as a LIAR and a FRAUD, Dargenson has somehow been convinced, either by the Two Pierres in a Pod or by her benefactor, North Miami city clerk, self-dubbed “The Hon.” Michael A. Etienne, Esquire, that they don’t need no stinkin’ laws.

In an email and a full color, two sided mailer, Yvenoline “Yve” Dargenson sent out to absentee ballot voters (yes, the AB list is a matter of public record), she wrote, “Here comes the time to choose the future of our beloved North Miami Beach. The city has never been at so much risk…”

She’s right about that!  By allowing a proven LIAR to run for city council, the city is at risk of having its electorate be represented by yet another FRAUD.

She continues, “ I am married with children. As a mother, I understand the meaning of family values.”

I almost choked when I read that.  WHICH “FAMILY VALUES” IS SHE TALKING ABOUT?  The “family value” of LYING ABOUT WHERE YOU LIVE or the “family value” of NOT LIVING WITH YOUR HUSBAND AND FOUR CHILDREN?

Not sure which one of those she considers a “family value” but it’s obvious that her moral compass is in desperate need of repair.

After recovering from that line, I read, “As a federal government employee, I understand public administration.”  I was immediately reminded of President Reagan’s admonition that “The nine most terrifying words the English language are I’m from the government and I’m here to help.”  As anyone who has ever dealt with the Social Security Administration (for which Dargenson has been a longtime employee) will tell you, nothing is more terrifying than a “federal government employee.”

Especially one who LIES.

Especially one who COMMITS PERJURY.

We already know that she lives and has lived in MIRAMAR, BROWARD COUNTY, since 2000, yet claims to live here.  The only surprising thing here is that she’s not registered to vote at La Maison de Pierre!  And yet she has the unadulterated chutzpah to run for office in our city.

The bottom line here is that aside from the fact that Yvenoline “Yve” Dargenson has been endorsed by northeast Miami-Dade County’s very own Circle of Corruption, which is in itself a BIG RED FLAG, it has already been proven by hard core, incontrovertible evidence that she does not live in North Miami Beach.  A normal person, one with a moral compass, would have already been humiliated beyond belief and bowed out of the race by now.  Yet, she continues on her merry way as if she were a legitimate candidate.

Then again, unless the Court respects and upholds the laws of the State of Florida, as well as the Code and Charter of the City of North Miami Beach, Dargenson will be allowed to continue her charade and specious assault on the voters of NMB.  If she is allowed to stay in the race, she will have made a mockery of any last vestiges of trust we still have in government, justice and America itself.

While we await the Court’s decision, though, I will continue to mock this illegitimate candidate relentlessly in the hopes that she has a conscience.  From what I can tell so far, however, she is as shameless as her “benefactors,” and has the same lack of humility that EX-mayor Myron Rosner possesses.  Like Myron, it appears that she will not go down without a fight.

Unfortunately for her, I got plenty of fight in me.  I’m also not a “professional” journalist so I can be as nasty as I wanna be.

L’il Evil Yve, here’s your chance to do the right thing and get the hell outta dodge.  Or else, prepare yourself for induction into the Gadfly’s Hall of Shame.

  1. And so my sources tell me, she has pissed off two commercial property owners for putting her signs up on their turf without asking. One took it down and one had their property manager stop her campaign sign installer from completing the task. Talk about a moral compass. She doesn’t even have the decency to ask permission. Is that what we want representing the voters of NMB? She also does not have her group number on her signs which I understand is law. We’ve had our share of arrogance on the council, right out of the gate L’il Evil Yve has proven hers. I don’t think we need much more proof that this candidate not only doesn’t deserve a vote, but certainly doesn’t deserve to be running.
