So far, North Miami Beach mayor Mike “Michael” Joseph has never been held accountable for all his heinous actions, ethical lapses, and criminal violations over the years.
But will this latest, and most newsworthy, scandal be the turning point in his otherwise free political ride? We can only hope.
As we told you in our previous blog, the demonic mayor is under fire for his questionable dealings which were recently exposed in the aftermath of the indictment of Congresswoman Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick for her alleged “theft of $5M in FEMA funds and making illegal campaign contributions.”
According to new findings, as reported yesterday by Channel 10’s Glenna Milberg, “The allegations against her include illegal campaign donations through a political committee chaired by North Miami Beach Mayor Michael Joseph, who did not respond to Local 10 News requests for comment.”

We are not surprised.
Not only was Mike “Michael” Joseph afraid to respond to the press, but he also “refused to comply with multiple subpoenas from the ISC [Investigative Subcommittee of the U.S. House of Representatives] for documents and testimony.”
To make matters worse, Michael also “declined to provide requested information” and “refused to cooperate with the OCE’s [Office of Congressional Ethics] review” of the allegations against Cherfilus-McCormick, according to a report issued January 29, 2026.
In fact, Michael seems to have disappeared from the face of the earth since at least yesterday when the media got wind of this story.
Although he is allegedly the mayor of North Miami Beach, he couldn’t be bothered to attend the installation of the newly appointed City Manager, Darvin Williams, which was held last night at the city’s Julius Littman Performing Arts Theater.
Then again, Michael was the only one of seven elected officials who voted against Mr. Williams’ appointment. We heard that Michael pulled out all the stops to lobby his colleagues to see things his way and appoint his personal toady, the highly unqualified Marline Monestime.
Luckily, he has no power to influence anyone, much less the majority of officials on the dais who can’t stand him anyway.
Yes, Michael Joseph is that despised.
As for Mr. Darvin Williams, I know nothing about him, but I do know that the enemy of my enemy is my “friend.”
The good news — for me, anyway — is that I give zero f*cks about North Miami Beach anymore.

Since 2010 I have spent way too much of my time, money, and energy trying to rid your government of corruption, fraud, and waste.
Despite my best efforts to keep the city’s public officials honest, North Miami Beach has finally sunk to the very bottom of the municipal sinkhole.
I did not plan on posting blogs anymore, but when the U.S. House Investigation of Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick put the demonic Mike “Michael” Joseph in its crosshairs, I couldn’t resist conjuring up a few more columns before this website changes ownership in April.
My decision to “retire” from blogging was made after these three nails were hammered into the proverbial coffin:
- That time when former City Manager Mario “No Balls” Diaz inexplicably placed then-Police Chief Harvette Smith on paid administrative leave instead of the unemployment line;
- Then the Commission stupidly voted to settle a lawsuit filed by the corrupt ex-City Manager, Arthur “Duke” Sorey, after he had been rightfully fired for cause; and finally,
- When North Miami Beach voters insanely elected Mike “Michael” Joseph, an unindicted criminal, as the city’s mayor.
At that point, I realized that there was absolutely nothing anyone could do to restore NMB to its former glory, and that this was not the hill I was willing to die on.
So, there you have it, folks. Regardless of whether or not Michael Joseph finally gets the justice he so richly deserves, come April I’ll be gone.

We missed you Ms. Kienzle.
Sadly some of us folks do care, but can’t do the kind of investigating work you do or writing the way you do.
Glad, but sad to see you come around. Glad to read another one of your blogs, sad that this jerk hasn’t been in trouble yet. We can only hope this matter gets him the hell out of here. Hope you enjoy your retirement.
Stephanie, you surfaced! Takes that creep of a Mayor to get you back in the saddle?
Understanding you won’t be doing this much longer, we hope you make enough popcorn for all of us who are right there with ya in hopes that Michael Joseph finally gets the justice he deserves.
