North Miami Beach mayor Michael Joseph stealthily sneaked in to last night’s 6:00 pm City Commission meeting at around 7:48 pm just as public comment was closing, but before legislation began.

Knowing full well how this evil creature operates, he was probably watching the very public grilling he was getting from NMB residents and timed his entrance in order to avoid having to face the angry crowd.

And, boy, did residents have some thoughts.

You can watch the public comments for yourself beginning at minute 56:48 of the video, but my snarky remarks will have to wait for another blog.

As Channel 10 reported after the meeting, the North Miami Beach Commission voted to send the investigative “report to state investigators and requesting they look into potential ethics, and even criminal violations by Mayor Michael Joseph,” which concludes Joseph put the city at ‘substantial legal, financial, and ethical risk.'”

The news article further explained:

The firm interviewed multiple city employees, one of whom accused Joseph of upgrading a flight to Japan to first class, costing the city $3,000.

Another employee alleged Joseph tried to change official records of recent city manager interviews.

They claim Joseph called them and demanded they disconnect recording equipment and edit the recordings of the interviews.

The report also accuses Joseph of skirting city rules, inappropriately influencing which vendors were selected for jobs.

As we told you in our previous blog, Channel 10 was referring to the Interim Investigative Report prepared by Algo Law Firm, LLC, which was hired to investigate the corruption, and submitted to the City on February 16, 2026.

Contrary to a previous statement that Michael provided to Channel 10, claiming that the report is nothing but “political theater,” he apparently had a change of heart by suddenly voting along with his colleagues to send the report to state investigators  — “For all transparency and for my own peace of mind,” Joseph said.

Oh, sure LOL!

Since Michael Joseph has been spared suffering any consequences for all of his previous ethical and criminal violations, he obviously believes he will continue to get away with murder.

Figuratively speaking, of course.

Although, we’re not so sure he wouldn’t literally kill someone based on his blatant sociopathic behavior.

But, we digress.

In the past, Michael has been able to convince the Florida Commission on Ethics to find no probable cause on an ethics violation, even though he committed the exact same offense for which Commissioner McKenzie Fleurimond was fined $300.00 and ordered to reimburse the City for his “contribution” to the Florida Democratic party.

Which makes it even more ironic — and hilarious — that McKenzie still insists on covering for his co-conspirator in crime by suddenly pretending he had no idea what he was voting for at the January 20, 2026 City Commission Meeting when the Commission proposed the engagement of “an independent third party reviewer selected by the City Manager with respect to procurement guidelines and operating entirely outside the City Attorney’s Office to conduct a limited fact focused review of the governance and charter related concerns raised regarding staff interactions.”

When the discussion came up about the Investigative report (at hour 2:54:25) and where to go from here, at hour 2:54:40 of the meeting video, McKenzie flat out lied and said “from the beginning I was opposed to this.”

Despite his protestations, the Minutes of the January 20, 2026 Commission meeting clearly reflect that McKenzie voted “yes” in the original motion.

It was only after the Motion was amended to push the submission date from February 13, 2026 to March 23, 2026 that McKenzie voted “no” along with his co-conspirators, Michael Joseph and Daniela Jean.

Then again, Motor Mouth McKenzie is no stranger to beclowning himself and lying about pretty much anything.

His lips kept moving, which means he kept lying.

“My understanding was that we were trying to, um, help in bettering our processes as far as communications between the Manager’s office, um, Commissioners, and department heads and staff members, right?  Um, and that’s to me that’s, that’s a good direction to head in.  Um, the new Manager was, was, um, just literally installed last week.  So, he hasn’t made his own assessment as, at least I don’t think you have, as to what the KPIs are, Key Performance Indicators, what his quality control is gonna look like, um, and how he’s going to make sure that communications between staff, himself, and the Commission is taken care of to make sure we get the best outcomes possible.  I believe that that’s his responsibility to do.  I, we, we selected him for that reason.  Um, and I wanna give him the opportunity to do so.”

The resolution had absolutely NOTHING to do with the newly installed City Manager, and McKenzie knows it.  All he was trying to do was deflect from Michael Joseph’s being in the hot seat.

Nonetheless, McKenzie, blathered on and directed his nonsensical diatribe to the gentleman from Algo Law Firm, Ignacio Alvarez.

“Um, as far as this report is concerned, I’m looking at the Resolution that is post the report that you gave, and it’s asking for the report to be completed.  You said that the report speaks for itself.  Um, it’s also asking for additional, the Resolution’s also asking for additional audit services, um, to do further reviews, um, you know, that’s additional funds I think when the vote was taken, if I’m not mistaken, it was given to the Manager because he has a particular threshold that he can work within, um, so we don’t know what that number is gonna for any of this additional work, um, and like you said the report speaks for itself, um, so for me I think I have been very clear I wanna give the Manager an opportunity to fix whatever issues that may be present and to deem necessary what next steps may need to be taken.  So I definitely wanna hear from my Manager in the future as to what direction we take.”

WHAT A LOAD OF BULL CRAP!

For one thing, this is not a Manager problem — IT’S A MICHAEL JOSEPH PROBLEM!

It’s certainly not the job of the new city Manager to fix Michael Joseph, as if anyone could.

For another thing, at least the Commission was given the opportunity to vote for the hiring of outside counsel to perform the investigation at a cost of $50,000.00.

This time.

I’m old enough to remember when Michael Joseph and EX-City “Attorney” Hans #StripMallLawyer Ottinot conspired to investigate former Mayor Anthony DeFillipo by hiring Sham Lawyer Luis E. Suarez behind closed doors and spent an unauthorized $200,012.76 to do so without approval by the City Commission.

Meanwhile, Michael Joseph hired a lawyer to get him out hot water with the Florida Ethics Commission while he let his supposed BFF McKenzie Fleurimond take the fall without even offering to help get him an attorney.

And yet McKenzie continues to make a complete ass clown of himself by defending the one person who would watch him drown without tossing him a life jacket.

What a chump!

By happily agreeing to send the investigative report to the “authorities,” Michael is either pretending he’s got nothing to hide or he’s already lined up his “people” to protect him from the consequences of his actions.

Let’s connect some dots here.

You may recall that one of the things Michael is in trouble for is the allegation that he pressured former “Interim City Manager Andy Plotkin, allegedly under the influence of Chief of Staff/Interim Assistant City Manager Marlene Monestime” to enter into a $48,000 contract with Figgers Communication, Inc. “for an emergency notification system, even though the City already had and effective $12,000 system (Code Red) in place.

The owner of Figgers Communication, Freddie Figgers, is also a former member of the Florida Ethics Commission.  While serving, he failed to file his 2021 financial disclosure form, a violation for which ordinary public officials would be fined $1,500.00.  However, as reported by the Florida Bulldog on April 20, 2024, his colleagues on the dais voted 4-1 to waive Freddie’s fine, “and avoided a requirement that it investigate Figgers to determine whether his failure to file was willful. The penalty for willfully failing to file disclosure is removal from public office.”

Freddie is no longer on the Ethics Commission, but don’t think for one minute that he has no influence with his former colleagues.

Considering that Michael literally gifted Freddie a nearly $50k City contract, don’t think for one minute that he wouldn’t be willing to repay the favor.

As far as the Miami State Attorney’s Office is concerned, don’t hold your breath waiting for Katherine Fernandez Rundle to investigate, much less press charges.

Despite a slam dunk ethics complaint against Michael Joseph for literally extorting Weiss Serota current and former attorneys, Brett Schneider and Dan Espino, respectively, then-Ethics Commission Advocate Michael P. Murawski shockingly recommended a “no probable cause” finding.  We didn’t find out until two years later after Murawski left to take a position as the Executive Director of the Naples Ethics Commission that he was strongly advised to drop the case because she would not prosecute regardless of the Commission’s decision.

We’re betting that Michael will be getting the exact same velvet glove treatment as soon as the City’s report hits Kathy Rundle’s desk, right after she places it in the appropriate location.

As further insurance that Kathy Rundle will give Michael a pass on any and all criminal activity he engages in, keep in mind that former North Miami Mayor, and head of the Tri-City Circle of Corruption, Andre Pierre, is close personal friends with THE most corrupt State Attorney in the entire state of Florida.

In fact, Rundle is so corrupt that two former bloggers died while trying to expose her crimes, Al Crespo of Crespogram Report and Bill Cooke of Random Pixels.

Until Miami’s top, and very unscrupulous, cop is ever brought to justice, these two gentlemen will not rest in peace.

Unlike Al and Bill, I’m getting out of this blogging “business” while I still have a life, whether or not Michael Joseph finally gets his just deserts.

My only hope for North Miami Beach is that by November, the residents remember that elections have consequences, and maybe not vote for their own self-destruction next time.
