Attorney Michael Joseph, former member of the Chief Counsel for the United States Department of Homeland Security and now in private practice, has announced a press conference to be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at 2:00 PM, in front of the North Miami Police Department.

Something is rotten in North Miami!
No Big Whoop here. The City Manager (if not pushed aside by Scott Galvin grabbing the microphone) is going to announce the termination of Officer Aledda and his deepest apologies to Mr. Kinsey.
Unfortunately the police officer made a bad decision that is costing him his job and his bad judgement is going to cost North Miami taxpayers a very large financial settlement with Mr. Kinsey. The mother of the autistic boy sees a whole lot of money in her future too, who unlike Mr. Kinsey, was not harmed buy the incident.
This is exactly the reason why people living in the unincorporated areas of the County do not want to become a city because, as this incident shows, they become the people who have to pay for the payouts.
