Where’s Nancy?

Remember, folks.  You heard it first on VotersOpinion.com.  Now the Miami Herald’s Tallahassee Bureau picked up the story of the Queen on the Lam.  Earlier today, Leon County Judge Charles Francis issued an arrest order known as a Writ of Bodily Attachment “calling on police to track down Noucelie “Nancy” Josna and haul her into court.  You go, girl.

Wait!  I didn’t mean that literally!

Here’s the thing.  The self-proclaimed “Queen of Absentee Ballots” Nocelie Josna, along with Carline Paul, a/k/a “Teacher Carline,” who was also ordered to appear in court to testify as to their part in obtaining absentee ballots from two nursing homes.  The case involves House Representative John Patrick Julien versus his opponent Barbara Watson, et al, which I told you about in We’re All Disenfranchised Now, regarding the campaign for State House District 107.  Both Paul and Josna, among others, were subpoenaed by Mr. Julien’s attorney for depositions, and all of them refused to show up.  Shortly after the aborted depositions, Judge Francis ordered them to appear tomorrow to testify in court.  Josna hit the road.  Whether or not Carline Paul will show up is anyone’s guess.  I can’t even begin to tell you about any of the others, but it does seem like the main players in this alleged absentee ballot scam are the Teacher and the Queen.

So far Judge Francis ruled that six out of more than 150 ballots are invalid, and that all six of them came from a nursing home in which Carline Paul’s mother was a one time resident and where Paul herself was a “frequent visitor.”  If Paul shows up tomorrow, we should also find out more about her role in the campaign when she allegedly spoke on Haitian radio telling her listeners to consult with her so she could tell them how to “vote correctly.”  Barbara Watson hired Carline Paul.  John Patrick Julien did not.

“Teacher Carline,” however, has been known to work both sides of the fence.  In May of 2009, my husband challenged Councilman Philippe Derose for his seat on the North Miami Beach City Council.  On his Campaign Treasurer’s Report dated April 17, 2009, my husband recorded a payment to Carline Paul’s company, Afrovision its capacity of “consultant/radio.”  Unbeknownst to him, not only did Carline Paul give Mr. Derose a donation on March 19, 2009, but also took a check from him on March 31, 2009 to be his consultant, according to his Campaign Treasurer’s Report dated April 3, 2009.  While not technically illegal to shill for both sides, it certainly points to “Teacher Carline’s” lack of ethics at the very least.

In the case now pending, attorney JC Planas, who represents Mr. Julien, finds it very telling that both Carline Paul and Noucelie Josna are reluctant to testify.  Neither one was named as a defendant on the lawsuit.  If they have nothing to hide, why are they hiding?

Tomorrow’s court proceedings should prove to be quite revealing, to say the least.

  1. They should probably dock some police officers at the Port of Miami and at MIA because Nancy might be headed back to Haiti.

  2. Or she’s with Where’s Waldo. We need to get Carmen SanDiego to find out where in the world is Nancy Josna?
