In response to the usual comments I get from my North Miami Beach readers that they don’t care what happens in North Miami, I will repeat:
Just like Vegas, what happens in North Miami doesn’t stay in North Miami!
As with almost every story about our neighbor to the south, there is usually a North Miami Beach connection.
Yesterday’s big mortgage fraud bust out of North Miami was no exception.
The Mayor of North Miami will be answering to charges of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, but the main (and possibly future chain gang) member of yesterday’s big bust for mortgage fraud, Karl Oreste, hails from the City of Now More Beautiful!
Records from the Miami-Dade County Property Appraiser show that Karl A. Oreste and Marie LaFrance own a home located at 17601 NE 6 Court, North Miami Beach, Florida 33162.
The good news is that since Karl Oreste is a bona fide resident of North Miami Beach, if he doesn’t go to prison for mortgage fraud he can run for office next May.

Why so bent out of shape over writing about North Miami? Isn’t this YOUR blog, your time spent writing, researching and compiling information? It’s pretty short sited to ignore the city RIGHT NEXT TO US. I can imagine if it were say…Coral Gables. North Miami is a thing, Seriously?
When it comes to the discerning readers of NMB, everything’s a thing. But, yeah. It’s my blog and I write what I want anyway.
How can someone who has stolen so much money live in such a shit-hole?
Ouch! That’s my ‘hood you’re talking about. Then again, I don’t have eight mil under my mattress.
I want to offer a hug to anyone complaining about you sharing information and helping contribute to the spreading of knowledge – especially in this world of news news outlets. I can’t understand a mentality like that – but then again I like to avoid complaining and focus on the positive. And anyone who does not see that we are all connected – far and wide… well, I just offer a hug. With this said, thank you and Happy Tuesday.

The NMB connection is the Carpetbaggers and Scalawags who find their way from Miramar and Pembroke Pines via Councilman Pierre onto NMB ballots. When you put down your address aren’t you swearing it is the truth? My kids couldn’t go to camp NO-MI-BE until I dragged out a new utility bill EVERY SINGLE YEAR and I was a paying customer, but some how non-residents keep ending up on the ballot. These wannabe council members are here for the same reason Lucie makes her bed in North Miami, “opportunities”.
