Caveat Emptor! Just say “NO” to this North Miami candidate!

Campaign season in North Miami never fails to bring out the screwballs, the delusional, and of course, the carpetbaggers.  If nothing else, the cast of characters provides much needed entertainment for residents weary of unchecked spending and rampant corruption.

This 2019 election is shaping up to bring more of the same.

During the last municipal election two years ago, we discovered that VotersOpinion.com was hacked when a reader was automatically redirected to another website when he posted a comment on one of our blogs.  This “alternate” website was called “VotersOpinions.com.”

We immediately hired a website security company to scan our site and remove the hacker’s malware.

Even though the domain name “VotersOpinions.com” wasn’t a copyright infringement, the hacker’s use of malware to infect our website and redirect our readers was an illegal act.

And so, we launched our own investigation in order to unmask the perpetrator.

The first thing we did was search on Whois.com to find the owner of the site.

As you might expect, “Jim Hands” is a pseudonym.

The owner, however, did use his actual email address, which we discovered belonged to this dude:

We then performed a background search on Lehem Biral Felican, Jr. and discovered that he was none other than the son of 2017 mayoral candidate Danielle Beauvais.

Well, isn’t that interesting?

It seems that Ms. Beauvais wasn’t too thrilled that our background search uncovered her 1996 bankruptcy and a 1997 felony arrest.

Obviously unclear on the concept that political candidates are subject to public scrutiny, Ms. Beauvais apparently sicced her self-described “Digital Forensics Expert and Software Architect” son, Lehem Biral Felican, Jr. on this blogger.

Thin-skinned much, Danielle?

While the “Danielle Beauvais” who was arrested for Indirect Criminal Contempt in 1977 may or may not be the same Danielle Beauvais who ran for mayor of North Miami, her son, Lehem Biral Felican, Jr. does have quite the criminal history of his own.  His five arrests include charges of child abuse, violating his probation, as well as several criminal traffic violations.

As a rule, we don’t usually air the dirty laundry of private citizens, but in this case, he’s fair game.

After all, Lehem Biral Felican, Jr. hacked our website, so there’s that.

Why, you may ask, are we bringing up this ancient history?

Well, it seems that Mommie Dearest has decided to run for mayor of North Miami once again!

The fact that she only received 669 of the 4,023 votes cast in the 2017 mayoral race is apparently not a deterrent.

Neither is the fact that Danielle Beauvais is chock full of bright ideas that never seem to get off the ground.

In addition to the failed businesses he launched with his mother, Lehem B. Felican, Jr. had several unsuccessful ventures of his own.

And, yeah, he’s a private citizen.

But he hacked our website, so there’s that.

Danielle Beauvais’ only successful venture is Global Enlightenment, Inc., which was formed in 2011 and is miraculously still in business.

While we’re not exactly sure what goods or services this company provides, we do know it’s located within the North Miami Community Redevelopment Agency area.

Alrighty then.

According to her LinkedIn profile, Danielle Beauvais claims that in 2003 she received her doctorate in Philosophy from Durham University in the United Kingdom.

However, there is no record of her ever having lived in the UK.

Danielle also claims to have received a doctorate in Divinity in 2008 from Universal Monastery, where one can “Get Legally Ordained” for the low price of $29.99 …

The Church’s website advertises, “Utilizing the ULC’s instant online ordination platform, anyone who feels so-called can become a minister within seconds.”

Seems legit.

Beauvais also claims that she hosted her own “television show (The Danielle Beauvais Show) from 1999 to 2001 bridging the gap between Hollywood stars and their fans in South Florida.”

An extensive google search turned up nothing of the sort.

Her biggest accomplishment, however, is that she volunteered her “services of teaching Tai Chi at several adult daycares in Miami-Dade county and at the North Miami Library to the residents of the city.

Which obviously qualifies her to be the mayor of the sixth largest municipality in the county.

Exactly!

Look, here’s the thing.

Public figures are subject to public scrutiny.

When Danielle Beauvais decided that public scrutiny didn’t apply to her, she directed her “Digital Forensics Expert and Software Architect” son to hack our website.

There’s nothing more dangerous than a public official who would commit such a heinous act.

If she’s elected as mayor of North Miami, imagine what she’ll do to anyone else who dares to criticize her performance on the dais.

Just saying.

  1. Well done, Steph! You have presented a rock solid case against Danielle Beavais. She must be having a really bad day after reading your article lol. Great job!!

    1. Imagine the bad day I had when I found out my site was hacked, and had to shell out several hundred dollars to fix the damage her son did, not including the monthly fee to keep my site clean. Since I do not make even a single penny from VotersOpinion, this money comes out of my own pocket. So, no, I was not a happy camper. I’m only too happy to pay her back.

  2. I second that. Well done Steph! The Nerve of this woman to try to run again knowing that she not only came in dead last but is someone that has no problem with lying, and hacking anyone that crosses. What has she done for the city? I have never seen her at council meetings nor seen her name associated with the library. She must have volunteered a decade ago and why does she no longer volunteer?

I do hope you could do a background check on all the candidates especially those running for Mayor and City Clerk. We need to weed out the lying, corrupted ones.

  3. Danielle Beauvais is a fraud. She also did not live in North Miami. Initially she listed her voting reg address, corresponding to a boarded up apartment at 1860 Venice Park Drive, owned by someone else and never rented by her. Also she was never seen there by any neighbor or building complex manager. Then she listed that she worked for Barry and was not the case. An inquiry to Durham U resulted in that university’s denial that this person has ever studied there, let alone gotten a PhD. She was insane, yet even though other candidates, council people and city officials knew of this information -it was sent to them- they chose not to disclose it or make an issue out of it. Why?

    1. Good question! Awesome research, too. Another carpetbagger in North Miami? Not surprising. What is surprising is that she has the nerve to keep running for office knowing full well her dirty laundry will continue to be aired.
