BREAKING: Bay Harbor Islands Police Corporal Pablo Lima cleared of all wrongdoing! (UPDATED)

Bay Harbor Islands Police Corporal Pablo Lima, who was wrongfully accused of posting anti-Islamic comments on social media has been completely cleared of all wrongdoing by the Town of Bay Harbor Islands, according to a News Release just issued by Town Manager J.C. Jimenez.

But not before having the stellar reputation of this 38-year law enforcement veteran publicly trashed in media outlets across the country and the world, including the United Kingdom and Israel.

Corporal Lima is the husband of Hallandale Beach Commissioner Anabelle Lima-Taub, who has also been dragged through the mud in the wake of this Very Fake News story.

In a scathing commentary, Mr. Jimenez blasted “various media outlets” for reporting that Corporal Lima was suspended when, in fact, he was placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation.

Mr. Jimenez further called out Miami Herald reporter Aaron Leibowitz for bringing “to the attention of the Town Manager” a meme allegedly posted by Lima on social media, which turned out to be a complete falsehood.

The Town Manager declared that the investigation concluded that Corporal Lima did not demonstrate “any bias or prejudice against any religious or protected group” for “liking” certain posts on social media.

As you can imagine, there is more to this story … all of which involves some of the more infamously shady characters exposed by VotersOpinion over the years.

As soon as we verify all the sordid details, more will be revealed.

Stay tuned…

UPDATE:  VotersOpinion just received the Close-Out Memorandum issued by the Bay Harbor Islands Police Department, which reveals that Miami Herald reporter Aaron Leibowitz was the Complainant against Corporal Pablo Lima, which led to Internal Affairs Investigation.

Start popping the corn.  This is gonna get interesting!

  1. Why only carry on about (BHI) Corporal Pablo Limo, when opportunity has now opened for Aaron Leibowitz from the Miami Herald to write about (BHI) Council, and their possible “wrongdoing?” Especially when they removed (BHI) Town Citizens and Residents right to “Freedom of Speech” (Code (Sec. 23-5(8.1), and “banning” of public discussion at “Council Public Hearings” on subject matter of signing Ordinance (Sec. 2-4(a)(3), and “Bal Harbour Shops” allegedly relocating a Religious Institution (“Church by the Sea’) that is “financially” tied in with the “United Church of Christ”/pro BDS MOVEMENT?

  2. How nice .. a real journalism reporter should be unbiased, fair, and balanced in news reporting .. However, Miami Herald’s reporter, Aaron Leibowitz, filing a complaint against a public servant … which resulted in a wild goose chase of false accusations, wasted resources, false reporting, and misspent money for conducting this investigation … The Town of Bay Harbor Islands should send a bill over to the Miami Herald’s offices in Doral and file a complaint with their owner, publisher, and chief editor regarding Mr. Leibowitz’s reporting … In summary, Mr. Leibowitz created his own false news story and try to destroy the careers of Mr. Lima’s public service to the community of Bay Harbor Islands

    1. Aaron Leibowitz was the “Complainant” but he did not file a complaint.
He published the contents of his E-mail to Chief, which were much more obviously journalistic questions, potentially for a story, than actually a request for an IA investigation.
I dislike the Herald as much as anyone else who values publicly accountable journalism, but I find the way the public has vilified Leibowitz rather disgusting and misled.

      1. Wrong. His initial and follow-up emails most definitely constitute an official complaint. An Internal Affairs investigation of Corporal Lima was opened based solely on the reporter’s complaint.

Per a public records request, I received the entire file of the Internal Affairs investigation. I will be posting a blog about the contents of this file, and you will see that Aaron Leibowitz more than deserves whatever vilification he receives.

        Stay tuned…

  3. Great news for CPL Lima. If I were them, they might consider REAL HARD making him the Chief of Police in BHI. They stained his reputation. Maybe that will stop a law suit. Never know!!(
