The best laid plans …

North Miami Beach Criminal Commissioner Paule Villard thought she was real slick by hijacking another City event as her own to use as a taxpayer-funded campaign carnival.

As we reported last week, Library Director Edenia Hernandez planned a special passport event for Saturday, August 6, 2022, solely for the purpose of assisting those who need passports.

As usual, Paule immediately made plans to hijack the Library’s event to use as another one of her taxpayer-funded campaign parties, replete with a DJ no less!

Paule hooked up with her fellow Criminal Commissioner on the dais, McKenzie Fleurimond, and the Vice Mayor of Miami Gardens, Reggie Leon, who is also running for re-election in November, as well as “DJ Bo Weezy’s” (a/k/a Ryan Jackson) organization, Urban Passport Travels, and planned to hold one of her usual carnival-like events inside the Library while visitors were attempting to obtain their passports.

Apparently, this was not one of Paule’s best ideas.

On Saturday morning when her invitees showed up for another taxpayer-funded Paule Party, all they saw was … people waiting in line to apply for passports.

Imagine their surprise to find no DJ, no prizes, no food, no raffle, and especially, no Paule.

In other words, Paule had been told to take pack up her carnival and leave.

So what happened?

Well, it’s anyone’s guess.

What we do know is that the processing of passports is overseen by the U.S. Department of State.  It’s serious business and can only be implemented by trained and certified professionals.  A Passport Acceptance Facility is considered a satellite agency of the Federal Government.

This Library event was neither the time nor the place for an undignified carnival, or especially, a campaign rally.

We have absolutely no idea why Paule & Co. were missing in action on Saturday morning.

Is it possible that the State Department had something to do with it?

In any event, Paule’s taxpayer-funded campaign rally was a bust.

What a shame.

North Miami Beach Criminal Commissioner Paule Villard may get away with violating the City Charter and the Florida Statutes, but the Feds don’t play.

Not everything is about you, Paule.

Oh, and watch out for that bear.

  1. It’s very interesting that you mentioned this, I was actually wondering what happened,

Maybe they just want her name to be circulating even though they’re not doing events. LoL

Either way someone needs to take the garbage out of the city hall, I’m starting to think worse than in 2008.

If you remember the last collapse in city hall, when the police department, building Department, water Department, Parks and recreations, had to get rid of lots of people, because we were running out of money,

Looks like we’re headed that way again.

Whatever his name is the so called City manager, (who never returns calls to any of its residents) is spending money out of hand, perhaps or because he’s being instructed by certain individuals who voted him in.

Stephanie, thank you very much for sending out this information and alarming us all the time.

Keep up your great hard work, we are all behind you.

Many people just don’t want to make comments here, because they are born without cojones,

We are all reading your blogs and we are all seeing the true colors.. finally thanks to you.

Let’s all get out and vote..

I hope and pray that Jay makes it in, he has a lot of experience being a former commissioner in this city helps a lot, I know him for many years he stands for honesty and integrity and many other things..

    Matthew.

  2. The city is a disaster It’s disturbing what I keep reading and hearing, I’m disgusted by it. I’m ready to get out of here and South Florida. It’s nothing, but greed and lousy lying politicians who get away with so much.
Just read the blog on the candidate for commissioner of agriculture. When does it end?
