Run, McKenzie, Run!

Channel 10’s Glenna Milberg hit it out of the park once again in her continuing coverage of North Miami Beach corruption.

You will recall that three weeks ago, Ms. Milberg dogged City Manager Arthur “Duke” Sorey for answers about his illegal Publix gift card giveaway, which was really a taxpayer-funded campaign event for loser Paule Villard.

Duke preferred to run rather than answer her questions.

Yesterday, it was Criminal Commissioner McKenzie “Motormouth” Fleurimond’s turn to try to hide from the camera.

Tried, being the operative word.

At a hastily called, and completely unnecessary, “Workshop,” the veteran Channel 10 reporter approached McKenzie, who suddenly had nothing to say.

He actually told Ms. Milberg, “I don’t know what you’re here for.”

Oh, really?

How about she’s reporting on a news story?

Well, we’ve certainly never accused McKenzie Fleurimond of being even remotely intelligent.

After he thoroughly embarrassed himself, and by extension, every single one of North Miami Beach’s 43,676 residents, McKenzie couldn’t escape the news cameras fast enough.

He actually said to Glenna Milberg — the Queen of South Florida Media — “We have to set an appointment to have a conversation.”

As he walked away, Ms. Milberg noted, “This North Miami Beach Commissioner at a public workshop insisted a public question needs an appointment.”

McKenzie took off, but not before begging the cameraman, “Can you please stop following me?”

Fortunately, Ms. Milberg caught up with newly elected Commissioner Jay Chernoff, and said, “We found this Commissioner at a City event who did not need an appointment for a question.”

WATCH!

In the end, the Her Majesty got her point across.

And McKenzie Fleurimond ended up looking very much the fool we’ve known him to always be.

We tip our hats to the One and Only Glenna Milberg!

  1. Mckenzie “Porky” Fleurimond was at his finest when he was asked by Ms. Milberg for a comment.

If you’re a developer with cash in your pocket, no appointment is needed. If you have a venue you want to sell to the City for an excessive amount of dollars, like the January 1st event at the Spanish Monastery so that you can kick $$$ back to him, you don’t need an appointment. If you’re a developer or lobbyist and you want to give him some airline tickets to Morocco, you don’t need an appointment. But if you want to ask him anything truthful that will embarrass him, he runs like a greased hog at a farm show.

The next year and half will be fun watching him squirm at every meeting. Dreading the citizens three minutes of free speech that he will endure, citizen after citizen, calling him out for all of his corrupt behavior since he was elected and for him being the cause of wasting millions of dollars of the resident’s money. It will be “get even” time as the tables are turned and he will get his paybacks from all the residents he gave the finger to since he was elected.

  2. The city of North Miami Beach is so corrupt, and the players in this game know it…but they think the residents, their constituents, are idiots. That’s you and me people.. the 3 commissioners, city manager and the real thief city attorney, who Ot-not be a part of NMB.
Thank you Glenna Milberg, for staying on the heels, literally, of these corrupt people, holding NMB hostage..

  3. Michael Joseph always says that Ottnot tells him not to attend meetings because of DeFillipo’s situation. So I would assume Ottnot (looking out for all NMB LOL) would tell ALL the other city commissioners the same thing, Fleurimond, Jean, Smith, Chernoff and Smuckler. Did he? Why not? Well, we could assume he DID tell Jean and Fleurimond. They just haven’t been stupid enough as Joseph to admit it.

I think Joseph is really backing Ottnot into a corner. Dumb, dumb, dumb

  4. Steph, great screenshot of Fleurimond. It looks like he just pooped himself and Glenna’s photographer caught the moment it happened.
