#SorryHans Your days are numbered!

This morning, North Miami Beach City “Attorney” Hans Ottinot sent an email to the “Honorable City Commission” (defiantly not addressing the actual Mayor), advising that according to a “Circuit Court’s Order” they are all compelled to attend the March 21, 2023 City Commission Meeting.

Then again, his email was not directed to Mayor Anthony DeFillipo or Commissioners Fortuna Smukler, Phyllis Smith and Jay Chernoff, all of whom have shown up for duty and are prepared to conduct the City’s business.

In fact, the Strip Mall “Lawyer,” was actually addressing his three Criminal Commissioners, Michael Joseph, McKenzie Fleurimond, and Daniela Jean, who are still grieving over the loss their guaranteed four-vote majority on the dais as a result of the November 22, 2023 run-off election.

Instead of accepting the will of the people, and by extension the results of a democratically held election, these three have deliberately been holding the City hostage since October 18, 2022 by refusing to do their jobs.

It must have infuriated Hans that he had to send this email, especially since this entire fiasco was his fault.  He has no one to blame but himself.  But now that a Circuit Court Judge has spoken, his back is up against the wall.

In her March 5, 2023 Order Granting Plaintiff’s Emergency Motion to Compel Commissioners Attendance at Commission Meeting, the Honorable Valerie R. Manno Schurr determined that the “Court finds that this matter duly qualifies as an emergency matter requiring prompt judicial determination,” and then “Orders and Directs all members, including individual commissioners, of the City of North Miami Beach Commission to attend the publicly noticed March 21, 2023 City Commission Meeting, commencing at 6:00 pm.”

That sounds quite definitive to us.

We can’t help but wonder, though, why it took Hans eight whole days to officially notify Michael, McKenzie, and Daniela after the Court Order had been issued, while at the same time giving them a live action, play-by-play of his many attempts to oust the Mayor from his seat.

Never mind.  We already know why.

The same way we already know that Hans is the one who engineered the quorum-less meetings since October of last year so he could continue to rip off North Miami Beach taxpayers for his undeserved monthly salary of $60,000-plus.

Hopefully, Hans has finally accepted the fact that the party will soon be over.

To help celebrate his imminent departure, we thought we’d give Hans a parting gift.

  1. I don’t know what to do with this seething anger over what these Commissioners have done to our city. They owe us over a million dollars and Hans should be on the hook for most of it. New elections can’t come soon enough! One by one they will feel the wrath of the people!

    1. The anger you feel is very real and very, very justified. It’s obvious to everyone that they fully expected Paule Villard to steal enough votes to win her seat back, and they are literally shocked that she couldn’t pull it off.

So they conspired with their puppetmaster, Andre Pierre, who is also Hans Ottinot’s close personal friend, and came up with this hare-brained scheme to get rid of the Mayor. The problem is they are spending YOUR MONEY to do it — the same way they have been spending it for the last two years on taxpayer-funded vacations, chauffeurs, bodyguards, self-promotional parties, re-election campaigns, and lots and lots of food. And they’ve been doing it with impunity!

These criminals have absolutely no regard for the will of the people or for your hard earned tax dollars, which they actually believe they are entitled to. It’s disgusting and it’s criminal, and all of it needs to be paid back by them personally, especially by Hans Ottinot!

You should direct your seething anger directly toward the source of your angst by speaking out at every commission meeting, sending emails to the Mayor and Commission to demand action, and filing complaints with the appropriate agencies to hold them accountable. I will be happy to help.
