He just now tendered his resignation letter to the Mayor and Commission.

Because they are duplicitous. Michael Joseph started this trend when he hid behind fake aliases (Ike Runner, Silent Dogood, Kim Schwartz, etc.) to attack his political opponents. Now apparently Daniela has caught on. Bunch of idiots.

No. His contract is terminated. There’s no golden parachute.
That’s not to say he won’t be in the receiving end of a consolation prize. But I’m not at liberty to divulge more at this time.

I don’t think he realizes that his unprofessional behavior and poor legal judgement overshadows his list of “accomplishments’ which, by the way, is pretty standard stuff any city attorney would do on a daily basis. When it’s all said and done, if you google him all the bad press will pop up rather than that list. I wonder if he thinks the money was worth it in return for those 3 commissioners dragging him down into the sewer and ruining his legal reputation forever, along with the employees who work for him.
I thought the same thing reading his letter. All standard stuff. But not sure the commissioners brought down his “stellar reputation ” as much as it was mutual. Same here in Tamarac. It’s a mutual effort.
He had absolutely no accomplishments worth touting. As you said, this was standard stuff for a municipal attorney, but he wants a medal. On top of his undeserved $60,000 a month, he also overbilled for every single time he read an email, picked up the phone, stamped a letter, “consulted” with his colleagues, etc., etc., etc. Don’t forget that during FY 2022, he was supposed to be paid $685,000 on his contract, yet taxpayers actually paid him $1,189,759.37 for that year! This is why there needs to be a forensic audit of every single department in the City, and then the perpetrators of corruption need to be sued and, preferably, indicted.
Hans and Duke, and all their cronies, have ripped off NMB taxpayers to the tune of millions and millions of dollars and they need to be held accountable!
