Nothing is more satisfying than a job well done. Whether it’s an accomplishment at work, raising great kids, or helping put handcuffs on a dirty politician.
That last one is especially gratifying when you know that far too many politicians are dirty, and far too few of them face the consequences of their actions. If even one out of a hundred is finally arrested, and only a small percentage of them get convicted, we have to take the win and move on to the next challenge.
We here at VotersOpinion have been holding public officials accountable since 2010. In all this time, we can count the number of dirty politicians on two hands that were fined by several ethics and elections commissions, but only two who were actually arrested and convicted — EX-North Miami Beach Mayor Myron Rosner and EX-North Miami Beach Commissioner Frantz Pierre.
Unfortunately, neither one did jail time. But both of them earned the title of “Convicted Felon.”
Myron Rosner went on to get himself arrested a second time, while on probation no less, and still managed to stay out of prison because his wife, Sarah Zabel, was a Circuit Court Judge and Miami State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle ran interference for him. But in the end, Myron still lives in a prison of his own twisted mind and is a pariah in North Miami Beach, where he’ll never eat lunch in that town again.
Frantz Pierre ended up dying before he could commit any more crimes against humanity. And that was the end of that.
The big news yesterday, which local news NBC6 broke, was that former North Miami Mayor Philippe Bien-Aime’s dirty little secret was finally discovered by the U.S. Department of Justice — that he committed immigration fraud to become a “citizen.”
According to the article, “According to a 13-page civil complaint filed by the U.S. Department of Justice and reviewed exclusively by NBC6, the government claims Bien-Aime ‘willfully misrepresented his identity and immigration history throughout the naturalization process.'”
According to a September 11, 2022 VotersOpinion column, Sexual predator, failed businessman, and serial liar Philippe Bien-Aime’s dirty little secret, we literally exposed the truth, and we were just hoping the feds would catch up.
They finally did and karma has now come to the City of North Miami.
With an arrest, denaturalization, and possible deportation in his future, Philippe has no one to blame but his own pathetic self. We have absolutely no sympathy for this particular devil.
Over the years, we have exposed him for the fraud that he is and has always been. And he did not like it one bit even though, as a public figure, he was fair game.
And, yes, we are gloating.
In 2019 when we reported that his house was about to be foreclosed on, he responded by attacking me and former North Miami resident Laura Hill on Facebook.
Talk about thin-skinned!
