More tidbits about the latest shady, dark money PAC looking to “fix” North Miami Beach 🙄

The City of North Miami Beach’s 4.85 square miles of real estate is home to 43,676 (mostly) humans, 22,453 of whom are registered voters.

If the shady characters behind the Stronger NMB dark money political committee were to be successful in amending the Charter, each of the six Commissioners would rule over a “district” of a .81 square mile fiefdom, while raking in $64,250 a year for the “privilege” of not having a real job.

Seems legit.

The truth is, this petition is not about cutting up North Miami Beach into six tiny, useless “districts.”

What these corruptocrats really want is to extend their term of (self) service for an additional eight years after they are termed out in November of 2028.

As we told you in our previous blog, on page 2 of the Proposed Charter Amendment, a single sentence is added at the end of Paragraph B of Article IV., Sec. 4-2, which states:

This will enable three current elected officials who are termed out in two years, i.e., Michael Joseph, McKenzie Fleurimond, and Daniela Jean, to run again for two more 4-year terms in order to collect an already undeserved “salary” of approximately $64,250 a year (including insurance and “expense” accounts) that they gifted to themselves on November 16, 2021.

If these three grifters are successful in getting their wish, by the time they are termed out AGAIN in November of 2036, they will have soaked North Miami Beach taxpayers for a grand total of $1,927,500 ($642,500 each) in the next ten years.

The big question on everyone’s mind should be, “Who is funding this latest scam?”

Unfortunately, we have no answers … yet.

As we also told you, the shady Stronger NMB political committee filed its Statement of Organization of Political Committee on March 10, 2026.  Two days later, the Florida Department of State’s Division of Elections issued its Acknowledgement Letter to the committee’s Chairperson, Christian R. Cámara, advising him that the political committee is now active.  The letter also advised that “the first campaign treasurer’s report will be due on April 10, 2026” for the “period of January 1 — March 31, 2026 (2026 Q1).”

What this means is that all contributions collected and expenditures made by the political committee from the beginning of its existence through March 31, 2026 must be reported in writing to the Division of Elections “no later than midnight, Eastern Standard Time, of the due date.”

The campaign treasurer’s report for Stronger NMB was due by midnight on Friday, April 10, 2026.  As of today, no contributions or expenditures have been reported through March 31, 2026, so we do not know if a report was even filed.  We called the Division of Elections to find out when the reports would be posted, but unfortunately, it could take awhile.

Luckily, we have all the time in the world.  As soon as we get the information, you all will be the first to know.

  1. Imagine Michael Joseph serving this city for a total of 18 years. Imagine the same for his sidekick, Fleurimond. And after everything being reported about Daniela Jean, including questions surrounding online activity and identity, imagine her continuing her reign.

Residents should be asking some very serious questions about the motive here. Extending terms while carving up our great city into little fiefdoms of their own? What could possibly go wrong?

If residents choose not to question it, they should not be surprised by the government they end up with.

  2. This classic Michel Joseph. The same guy who has orchestrated illegal no-dib contracts, tens of thousands of dollars given to lobbyist buddies who kick back thousands to him, and is spending thousands of taxpayer dollars on himself. His ego is all that matters to him. He needs to stay in office to support his lifestyle. The residents need to defeat his districting initiative.
