There is nothing more despicable than people who lie. It makes no difference if they tell little white lies, lies by omission, or big fat whoppers of lies, if they’re not speaking the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, they are lying.
When public figures lie, especially for the purpose of getting elected or keeping their jobs, I consider it a challenge to do everything in my power to prevent them from getting what they want. I pull out all the stops until I expose them for the frauds that they are and publicly humiliate the crap out of them.
This is exactly the reason why I do what I do. I despise corruption and fraud more than anything. When someone makes a conscious decision to become a public servant, he is obligated to keep the public trust and to serve with dignity. The desire to be of service is a noble calling.
But that calling also comes with a responsibility. Public servants are accountable to those who put them into office and who pay their salaries with their hard earned tax dollars. As such, should you choose to hold a position in government, whether as an elected official or say, as a chief of police, you are going to be held to a higher standard.
As a blogger, I’ve made it my mission to hold those who do promise to serve and protect accountable to the higher standard by which the public expects them to abide.
And also because I hate liars.
So, here’s the thing.
North Miami Beach Councilman Frantz Pierre is running for re-election. He’s also out there speaking on the radio, talking to residents, and sending out his paid “volunteers” to say anything, promise everything, and mean absolutely none of it, in a desperate attempt to keep his seat.
And, as usual, he lies.
Frantzie is a born politician. To Frantz, telling a lie comes as naturally as breathing. I’m not sure if he even knows that there is such a thing as telling the truth since it appears he’s lived his entire life as a lie.
The infuriating thing, however, is that there are people out there gullible enough to believe what he says. There are people out there who actually think that because he is a council member he must be in a position of power. The way L’il Frantzie P struts around town in Baby Doc fashion, he has brought to North Miami Beach the Third World political style so reviled by Haitian Americans who came here to escape from the oppressive government that ruined their lives, their families and their entire country.
Frantz Pierre takes advantage of the fear inherent in the minds of a people who lived under a corrupt regime, where police brutality was the norm, politicians were bribed and elections were fixed.
Frantz Pierre thinks nothing of tricking unsuspecting voters into thinking they already voted when they merely sign an absentee ballot request form. When the actual absentee ballots are mailed to their homes, Frantzie’s paid “volunteers” can go pick them up before the voters have a chance to change their minds. Or simply steal them out of the mailboxes altogether before the voters even see them. It’s been known to happen.
(On a side note, I heard that Frantzie’s “volunteers” are now asking other candidates for work because he hasn’t paid them. Déjà vu, anyone? ROFLMAO!)
Frantz Pierre preys on the gullibility of an immigrant electorate unschooled in the ways of American politics by telling them that “white people” are trying to steal the election and take away their power.
Frantz Pierre plays on the consciousness of his compatriots, who naturally root for the underdog, by portraying himself as an innocent victim of “racism” perpetrated by “all those people who hate Haitians.”
The unfortunate thing is that in a small, but very politically active community in which English is a second (or third) language, Frantz has the ear of a constituency with a natural distrust of anyone outside their close knit Haitian circle. While it is understandable that a group would necessarily vote for issues that directly affect their own interests, Frantz is overtly “playing the Haitian card” by appealing to their fear that “white people don’t want a Haitian to win.”
Never mind that Frantzie’s opponent in this election happens to be a Haitian American. He simply tells his audience that “white people” put Ketley Joachim in the race to run against him.
When anyone challenges that lie, he claims that “the white people want to put all the Haitians into one race.”
When even that lie is too preposterous for even the most naive to buy, he simply falls back on the narrative that Ketley’s “not the right kind of Haitian.”
In the real world none of this would make sense. But in Frantzie World, where he convinces himself that a person making $80,000.00 a year can afford to buy a home worth over four million dollars, anything goes.
The scariest thing of all is that his blatant lies are legendary … and pathological.
Frantz Pierre is a despicable excuse for a human being. He has absolutely no redeeming qualities whatsoever. He’s always up to something, and it’s always no good.
When he’s not plotting to get city employees fired, he’s stealing city water.
When he’s not conspiring to steal absentee ballots, he’s spending your tax dollars to go on vacation.
When he’s not trying to oust his colleagues on the dais, he’s playing the race card to win an election.
There are no rules he won’t violate and no laws he won’t break.
There are absolutely no lies he won’t tell because lying is the only thing he knows how to do.
And I hate liars.
As much as I love making fun of Frantz Pierre, this is really no laughing matter.
If ever there was a public official who has betrayed the public trust it’s Frantz Pierre.
Voters need to wake up, get to the polls and finally oust Frantz Pierre from the seat he has sullied since 2007, and which he never deserved to occupy in the first place.
