Every time I think I’ve heard it all, well, something always surprises me.
The latest in Stupid Ideas arrived fresh out of New York (but, of course) a couple of days ago, which claims that gun violence can be stopped if only, get this, Apple would remove the “gun emoji” from iPhones.
Because, as we all know, iPhones are even deadlier than Confederate flags!
The group New Yorkers Against Gun Violence (NYAGV) “believes Congress will pass more gun control if Apple removes the emoji. Thus, a video accompanying the campaign says that by removing the emoji, Apple can “show [that] America wants stricter access to real guns.”
And they’re freaking serious.
They even created a website and hashtag, #DisarmTheiPhone, to show how serious they are.
As you can probably imagine, hilarity ensued.
