Paule Villard’s Rocky Mountain Taxpayer-Funded Vacation

In Paule Villard’s never ending summer vacation. Courtesy of North Miami Beach taxpayers, of course, we told you that the Criminal Commish is heading to the Mile High City for yet another taxpayer-funded vacation.

Here’s the dirt.

On August 3, 2022, Ashley Francois, Executive Assistant to City Manager Arthur “Duke” Sorey, sent out an email to the Mayor and Commission, attaching a “memo regarding a visit to the South Adams County Pellet Ennis Water Softening Facility Visit.”

In his memo, Duke announced a planned trip to the South Adams County Water and Sanitation District in Commerce City, Colorado, by the “members of the City and Public Utilities department …  for an onsite demonstration of the Pellet Softening System.”

Duke made it perfectly clear that “[t]he purpose and intent of the visit is to analyze the cost, operations, maintenance of the Pellet softening system.  This will be a highly technical and intensive task.”

In other words, this is the stuff that thrills people like project managers, water utility technicians, engineers, utility instrumentation technicians, control systems specialists, and others in the public utility biz.

But, frankly, it would be a complete snooze fest for the 99.9999% of the population who couldn’t care less how water magically appears when they turn on the faucet.

Nevertheless, Duke Sorey foolishly thought it was a good idea to to extend an invitation to any elected official who is interested in attending this “onsite demonstration” as well.

And of course, the four Criminal Commissioners, Michael Joseph, McKenzie Fleurimond, Paule Villard, and Daniela Jean, jumped right on it!

Despite the fact that there is absolutely no reason whatsoever for anyone not connected to the City’s water utility, especially elected officials, you can bet the Criminal Four would never turn down a taxpayer-funded airplane ride, hotel room, limousine, and of course, lots and lots of food.

As a matter of fact, there’s really no reason for even Duke Sorey to go on this “highly technical and intensive” trip, but we’re guessing he had ulterior motives.

Just saying.

We can’t even begin to estimate the costs of this unnecessary waste of your tax dollars, but while we wait for the public records, here’s a little something for your entertainment.

Although the “onsite demonstration of the Pellet Softening System” was originally scheduled for Thursday, September 1, 2022, we’re told it was pushed up to this Tuesday, August 30, 2022.

We’re also told that “the members of the City and Public Utilities department” will be flying out to Denver tomorrow.  We assume they plan to stay in Denver on Tuesday night and return on Wednesday, August 31, 2022.

Imagine my surprise when I received a text at 6:03AM this morning from a friend who was flying out of Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and just happened to see two familiar looking travelers.

Apparently, Paule Villard and Daniela Jean flew out early enough to spend an extra day and night, on your dime, in the city that made Blucifer famous.

How fitting.

With Paule’s undeserved taste for luxury and expensive hotels, we can only imagine how much this extra vacation day will cost North Miami Beach taxpayers!

The only way to stop this grotesque abuse of your tax dollars is to …

VOTE THIS CRIMINAL OUT OF OFFICE ON NOVEMBER 8, 2022!

  1. Paule is wearing her North Miami Beach green shirt and Louis Vuitton bag so everyone knows what an important person she is. I’m personally frustrated that these 2 are representing me. Vote for Phyllis Smith and Jay Chernoff.

    1. Paule’s entire identity is wrapped up in her title of “Commissioner.” Everywhere she goes she’s wearing something with the NMB Logo and her name embroidered on it. Then she opens her mouth and makes it even worse.

If I still lived there I would be mortified that she is traveling around the country as the “representative” of my city. She is truly an embarrassment.

      1. She needs to wear her NMB clothes so that she can prove she’s a commissioner. No one would believe it if she just mentioned that she is one, especially the way she dresses and carries herself. The head wrap is her marquis. She looks more like an aide worker than someone who is in charge of a city.
