On the taxpayer-funded campaign trail with Criminal Commissioner Paule Villard as she turns North Miami Beach into a garbage dump

North Miami Beach City Manager Arthur “Duke” Sorey and his staff are so desperate for Criminal Commissioner Paule Villard to get re-elected, they are going all out to spend all the City’s resources on her taxpayer-funded campaign.

Their latest stunt was a planned three-day “Public Gift Cards Initiative using American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds to purchase 1,500 Publix Gift Cards valued at $150.00 each to be issued to residents who have experienced financial hardship and food insecurity due to the Covid-19 pandemic.”

According to Resolution No. R2022-118, the City Manager is authorized, “to allocate $225,000.00 from ARPA funds” for this debacle.

All Duke Sorey had to do was arrange for residents to sign up online and then mail the gift cards to everyone who qualified.

Instead, he chose to schedule a three-day taxpayer-funded campaign event held on October 6th, 7th, and 8th, for the sole purpose of allowing Paule to get face time with every single resident who showed up for a card.

Duke also made sure he featured Criminal Commissioner Paule Villard in three separate daily videos posted on the City’s Facebook page.  Watch them at your own risk.

As expected, all three days were a complete disaster.

On the first day at Victory Park, cars started lining up at about 5:00 PM the day before.  By 7:30 AM the cars were lined up along 19th Avenue all the way to Miami Gardens Drive — over 11 blocks to the north.  By 9:00 AM, Paule was turning people away, telling them there were no more cards.

On the second day at Allen Park, hundreds of cars lined up again, most of which were turned away after waiting for more than 12 hours in line.

On the third day at Uleta Park, some of the residents who were turned away on the first two days, tried again.

While campaigning at Uleta, the totally classless Paule threw f-bombs at residents who don’t support her.

We don’t know how many people were turned away again, but we do know this circus was planned for the specific goal of allowing Criminal Commissioner Paule Villard to campaign on taxpayer dime.

Paule planted her campaign sign illegally on a swale where the cars were lined up at Allen Park.

And she also parked her campaign billboard truck nearby so everyone waiting in line could clearly see it.

Today at Uleta Park, Paule had not one, but two, of her campaign ad wrapped vehicles parked in full view of the folks waiting in the long line for a gift card.

Paule and City employees were handing out Paule’s campaign material to the residents held captive in their cars.

But when her opponent and two other candidates, Jay Chernoff, Phyllis Smith, and Fortuna Smukler’s campaign material was being handed out, Paule told residents to throw them away.

We have also been told that the people who have been sitting in their cars for upwards of 12 hours waiting in line have had to urinate into water bottles to relieve themselves, then resort to tossing the bottles out their windows and onto the street and nearby lawns.

Code Enforcement is doing absolutely nothing while Paule Villard turns North Miami Beach into a garbage dump.

City officials are aiding and abetting the criminal activity perpetrated by Paule Villard, and they are actively working against her opponent to make sure their campaign signs and ads are not being seen by the voting public.

Criminal Commissioner Paule Villard has even hired young aspiring criminals to steal her opponent’s signs in the middle of the night.

WATCH!

The real question is do you really want this organized crime ring running your City?

If not, the choice is yours!

On November 8, 2022, please cast your vote for Jay Chernoff, Phyllis Smith, and Fortuna Smukler!

Please vote responsibly!

  1. Great summary of events. I AM embarrassed by my misspelling of the word ‘foul’, and the subject of my post is much too large to be a bird…perhaps an ostrich…she puts her head in the ground instead of acknowledging criticism.
The confrontation started when she was driving by and said “Welcome to Uleta” as if she owns Uleta. I shouted back that I’ve been coming to Uleta for at least 30 years, that my (now adult) children went to after-school care there. That’s when she threw her obscenity at me.
I spoke to many people in the lines both at Uleta and Allen Park. They agreed that they didn’t like sitting in their cars all night (who would?) and there must be a better way to distribute gift cards to those who need them. Commissioner Smukler is very involved in food distributions, perhaps if Villard took her head out of the ground she could learn something from Fortuna Smukler!

    1. Paule is too stupid to know that she needs to learn anything. More importantly, however, she is stealing your tax dollars to campaign for re-election. North Miami Beach residents need to know the truth about this lying con artist and VOTE HER OUT ON NOVEMBER 8TH!

    2. Hey Irene, you may have misspelled foul, but you caught Villard in her true portrait face. it looks like her transition surgery has been a success.

  2. Thank you very much for your blog,

I was talking to some of the neighbors in our city who came back from your leader and took off their signs from their yard that she had asked them to put on, ( because she’s neighbors with them and she felt that she should have it on her yard because their next door neighbors)

But now they’re all very upset that they waited for this $150 card and never got them.

In my humble opinion this was a backfire on her.

If you spoke Creole you deserve the card,
If you spoke English or Spanish you were lucky like a lottery ticket to receive something even though you are in line from the first 20 vehicles.

It is very clear that these cards were made for Creole speaking individuals.

If she wins say goodbye to North Miami Beach and say hello to the city of North Miami.

If you care about your city, and you care about your residence and your neighbors, then make sure about properly.

We had a beautiful city and it took to the worst for the last 2 years spending out of hand and we will be bankrupt before you know it,

Like opa-locka, and many more neighboring cities that are not only financial but legal trouble because all they do is pocket their money.

The city is now controlled by a mafia.

We need to take back our city.

    1. Matthew,
If you are a North Miami Beach voter, please speak to your neighbors and friends and clue them in to what a fraud Villard is!!
      Vote – vote – vote!!
Vote for CHERNOFF, SMITH, and re-elect FORTUNA SMUKLER!
