Criminal Commissioner Paule Villard steals yet another one of Fortuna Smukler’s events for her own taxpayer-funded campaign!

In July, we reported that North Miami Beach Criminal Commissioner Paule Villard attempted to hijack Commissioner Fortuna Smukler’s Back to School Health Fair & School Supplies Giveaway on August 2, 2022, which the City first started advertising on its Facebook page on July 9, 2022.

Well, the Criminal Commissioner has committed theft once again!

On September 23, 2022, North Miami Beach posted on its Facebook page a flyer announcing Fortuna’s “Recycle Shoe Drive.”

The City reposted this event again on October 2, 2022, October 7, 2022, and October 10, 2022.

After Paule Villard’s disastrous performance last night at the Washington Park Voter’s Counsel candidate forum (more on that in a future blog), someone just sent Fortuna a flyer announcing Criminal Commissioner Paule Villard’s “Shoe Collection Drive.”

We already know that Criminal Commissioner Paule Villard never has an original thought in her vacuous head.

It’s no surprise that she stole yet another idea that belongs to someone else.

The City has not yet posted Paule’s stolen event yet on Facebook or its website, which is unusual.

Unless, of course, this is not an official City sponsored event.

Then again, we wouldn’t be surprised if Paule simply stole the City’s logo for her flyer since she steals everything else that’s not nailed down.

But this outright, in-your-face theft by the Criminal Commissioner of Fortuna’s philanthropic event to use as one of her many taxpayer-funded campaign stunts is literally jaw-dropping chutzpah!

This dangerous criminal needs to go!

VOTE FOR JAY CHERNOFF, PHYLLIS SMITH, AND FORTUNA SMUKLER AND PUT A STOP TO THE CRIME SPREE IN NMB!

  1. It looks like an unprofessional flyer. Doubtful that came from NMB. The next question is, why is the NMB logo allowed to be used? Smukler’s shoe collection is to assist developing countries whose citizens are in need of shoes. Why would Villard trample on Smukler’s collection? That is mean spirited, unprofessional and childish. The city shouldn’t be involved in several drives. There is one shoe drive happening now, the resident’s should stick to donating to Smukler’s which is a “Recycle Shoe Project to help create long lasting economic impact in developing countries all over the world. Thanks to your donation, BRCAstrong will continue to provide programs for breast and gynecological cancer survivors. For more information on the Recycle Shoe Project, visit RecycleShoeProject.com”.

    1. Paule Villard is a despicable snake. She steals tax dollars, campaign signs, and every idea other commissioners bring forward. She needs to be voted out and, hopefully, arrested!

  2. The BIG question is, ARE THE DONATED SHOES FROM THE PEOPLE OF NORTH MIAMI BEACH GOING TO HAITI? WHERE WILL THOSE SHOES BE DONATED TO? Paule Villard lies to make EVERY EVENT about her so she can get the votes from the residents she manipulates. At today’s Senior event a Senior said, “How does she get away with this, her name is on all the free t-shirts that are provided by the CITY OF NORTH MIAMI BEACH?”

    1. OMIGOD! The City paid for MORE tee-shirts for her? This is so freaking insane. City Manager Duke Sorey is desperate for her to get re-“elected” and he’s ordered every single department in the City to do her bidding and cover her fat ass for campaign sign violations. I’ve never seen such public corruption in my entire life.

The City needs to be investigated by a state attorney and people need to go to prison. Unfortunately, the Miami State Attorney is just as corrupt as everyone in NMB and she won’t do a damn thing.

  3. It’s time to move out of South Florida. The corruption here is getting worse everyday. The developers run the cities and I can’t imagine what is happening in the county. The saddest revelation this week was that our county mayor endorsed our most corrupt commissioner which means she’s now part of the problem. We have no one to turn to in hopes of honest leadership. I’ve never felt so hopeless.

    1. Don’t give up on all of South Florida. The Town of Davie is still a well-run, fiscally responsible, and beautiful municipality. Even with over 106,000 residents living on 35 square miles, it still feels like a small town, with small town hospitality.

When I call Town Hall on any given day, there is no voicemail from hell. A knowledgeable human being immediately answers the telephone and either assists me personally, or transfers me to the department where I can find the answers I need.

Public records requests are responded to within a day or two.

The building code is strictly enforced, and as a result, every building and every area of the entire Town is well maintained and in excellent condition. We have zero high rises, and developers don’t have any public officials in their pockets.

The Town Administrator, Attorney, and all of the Commissioners abide by the Charter and the Code of Ordinances, and there is literally ZERO corruption here.

Needless to say, the Police Department is professionally run and our violent crime rates are well below both the Florida and national averages by more than 32%.

I don’t have to tell you what a disaster the North Miami Beach government is because you are already living there. Even with only 43,000 residents living on five square miles of real estate, no one at City Hall can figure out how to answer the phone or even direct you to the proper department for help when you finally get a human on the phone.

Public records take months and months to receive, if you ever receive them at all.

Code is selectively enforced and used as a weapon by the corrupt public and elected officials who have taken over the City in the last four years. Thanks to those same corrupt officials, Big Development now owns North Miami Beach and at least four of the Commissioners are owned by a few who don’t care about the quality of life, but only by increasing their net worth.

Your Charter Officers are all beyond corrupt, which we’ve documented thoroughly here in VotersOpinion. No need to recount the horror stories in this comment.

Your Police Department is now being controlled by the corrupt City Manager, who uses the Police Chief and her staff as his personal security force.

Violent crime rates in North Miami Beach are higher than both the state and national levels by almost 60%.

      These are the absolute facts.

North Miami Beach residents have two options:

      1. Vote out Paule Villard, and elect Jay Chernoff, Phyllis Smith, and Fortuna Smukler if you want to put a stop to the organized crime ring that has kidnapped your City and restore NMB to a well-run, fiscally responsible, corruption-free municipality.
      2. Move to Davie.
