P Card Madness, Part 3. Let this sink in!

When North Miami Beach Criminal Commissioner McKenzie Fleurimond deliberately — and illegally — broke quorum at the December 20, 2022 Commission Meeting for the sole purpose of keeping his hand-picked corrupt administration’s gravy train from being derailed, we calculated the amount of money this desperate move cost taxpayers.

Thanks to resident Keith Myers, you can watch your tax dollars fly out the window on this handy-dandy Real Time Debt Clock™:

While this total was based solely on the salaries and benefits packages of the corrupt City Manager, Arthur “Duke” Sorey, his two assistants, Gedel “Beelzebub” Merzius and Kemarr Brown, his police station spy, Timothy Belcher, and the corrupt City “Attorney” Hans Ottinot, it does not include the amount of money blown on the taxpayer-funded Procurement Cards (P Cards) by Duke and his inner circle of corruptocrats.

We finally got our hands on all the P Card Statements for Duke, Gedel, and Kemarr, as well as his two most trusted gofers, Athalie Edwards and Francisco Medranda, from the date that Duke was hired through December 4, 2022.

We reviewed each and every statement, then created handy-dandy spreadsheets so you can see exactly how much of your money is being raided on a monthly basis.

We promise to give you a very detailed analysis of this out of control spending in our next column, but for now we believe a picture is worth $229,325 words.

Keep in mind that these totals are only through December 4, 2022.  Duke & The Gang have had more than a month to do even more damage on their P Cards.

We will also be reporting more P Card Madness from Duke’s other “lieutenants” in the very near future.

In the meantime, here’s a parting message for His Majesty the Baby, McKenzie Fleurimond.

  1. Hey Stephanie and all the great residents of NMB. HAPPY AND HEALTHY NEW YEAR. Wishing you all the best. Miss you all.

    1. Miss you, too! Happy New Year!

It will be even better when the trash is taken out.

      Just saying. 😉

    2. A lot has happened that is for sure. One thing hasn’t changed, NMB has some of the greatest residents in Miami-Dade County. I wish everyone a safe New Year. 2023 will bring great changes for all of us!

  2. Want to thank Richard Rand for the awesome work he did as our Police Chief. He commenced the implementation of body cameras for our police officers. We bought over $1 MILLION DOLLARS worth of body cameras. We are now waiting for ANOTHER Police Chief like him, to come along and have our exemplary police officers wear them. Presently, most of the cameras are not being used and are still packed away in carton boxes, more than one year after he left. We MISS YOU RICHARD !

  3. Crooks are running the city!

Now the mayor is under attack by people he’s been trying to get rid of for months.

    When will this situation improve?

    1. NMB has been run by criminals since November of 2020. They are terrified now that they lost their majority on the dais. They are terrified of what the forensic audit will reveal. McKenzie is especially terrified that the kickbacks will end and he’ll get served with an eviction again.

They have a lot to lose.

  4. Word is that they are looking to hire Duke as City Manager at North Miami now that Theresa is living to go back to the county to work for Oliver Gilbert.

    1. I heard that there’s only one member of the City Council who wants Duke back, so that’s probably not gonna happen. But if they are stupid enough to hire them back they get exactly what they deserve. Elections have consequences.
