North Miami Beach Commissioner Daniela Jean really stepped in it this time. WOW!

Last weekend, the City of North Miami Beach held a Welcome Reception and Press Conference in honor of an “internationally recognized soccer player Duckens Nazon for his outstanding contributions to the sport and his impact on the global stage.”

At the event, each of the Commissioners said a few words about the player and soccer in general.

When it was Daniela Jean’s turn to say something, she began her two minute spiel at minute 36:39 of this video.

We’d love to tell you what she was talking about, but like 80% of North Miami Beach residents, we also don’t speak Haitian Creole.

We do, however, know enough people who do speak Daniela’s “native” tongue to find someone to translate what she said.

And, boy, did she ever show her true colors!

We’re told that near the end of her little speech she said:

“I will speak seriously with you, and I will say it in Creole.  The community needs serious support in the upcoming 2026 election. If Haitians don’t stand together, then we will lose the city. I am asking you to stand together behind your leaders and all the upcoming leaders in the community.”

LOSE THE CITY?

IS SHE FOR REAL?

WHAT THE HELL IS THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN?

Obviously, Daniela Jean is nothing but a vile racist who’s only interested in putting as many Haitians in office as possible, and the rest of us are invisible to her.

But we already knew that.

Almost as bad as her blatant racisim, Daniela Jean also violated multiple state and county laws, such as Florida Statutes 104.31106.113 and 106.15, as well as the Miami-Dade County Conflict of Interest and Code of Ethics Ordinance at Section 2-11.1 of the County Code, all of which address the limitations on political activities by public officers and employees.

In a nutshell, Daniela violated all of these state laws and the county code of ethics ordinance by:

  • Using her official authority or influence for the purpose of coercing or influencing another person’s vote or affecting the result thereof.
  • Participating in a political campaign while on duty.
  • Campaigning in a government building.

In fact, the Miami-Dade County Commission on Ethics and Public Trust issued a Memorandum on March 15, 2023 in reference to Limitations on Political Activities of County and Municipal Officers and Employees, specifically pointing out the following admonishments:

  • While all local officials and employees have a right to engage in political campaign activities, they must not use their official authority to influence another person’s vote or to affect the outcome of an election.
  • County and municipal staff wishing to be involved in political campaigns should limit such activity to off-duty hours.
  • A local government or a person acting on behalf of local government may not expend or authorize the expenditure of public funds for any communication sent to electors concerning an issue, referendum, or amendment, including any state question, that is subject to a vote of the electors. This applies to a communication initiated by a local government or a person acting on behalf of a local government, irrespective of whether the communication is limited to factual information or advocates for the passage or defeat of an issue, referendum, or amendment.
  • Violations of these provisions may result in criminal charges, civil ethics or election violations, and/or administrative actions.

Hopefully, Daniela Jean will finally face the consequences she so richly deserves.

Welcome home, Daniela Jean!

  1. Just imagine if all cows got together and made a plot to overthrow the farm by getting rid of all of the other animals.

We all know that this cow is not the brightest animal on the farmyard and do not realize other farm animals can get things translated. So the racist bovine was dumb enough to say the quiet part out loud between visits to the trough to get more cud. The dumb cow was too into herself that she did not realize she stepped in her own cow pie.

    1. Who wants to visualize this? No need to describe what she did as such, to be aghast by her utter distain for her city, the people she took an oath to serve, and her colleagues and employees that are not of Haitian descent. I’m going to assume she is also a member of a political party and other memberships. If people of North Miami Beach are reading this, I suggest they find out what organizations she belongs to and write to them. She needs to be removed if she doesn’t step down.

      1. Great idea! I don’t know if any of the organizations she belongs to will care, though, since I’m betting every single one of them condone divisive racism.

        Just saying.

  2. I’m disgusted by the suggestion that residents must elect and stand by leaders of a specific ethnicity or risk losing their city. That statement is deeply divisive and completely unacceptable.

Public office is not about ethnic loyalty. It is about serving every resident, regardless of background, culture, or language. When elected officials frame elections as a battle for control by one group, they are not leading. They are dividing.

No one group owns this city. No one group should control it. Our city belongs to all of us. Suggesting otherwise sends a dangerous message that power should be based on identity instead of service to the entire community.

Leadership means uniting people, not warning them that they will lose their community if they do not support a particular group. That is fear-based politics, and it has no place in our city.

Taken together with the petition to divide our city into districts and extend term limits, this starts to look like a coordinated strategy for a takeover by corrupt and prejudiced politicians who are putting power ahead of the people.

    1. It doesn’t just look like it, that’s EXACTLY what it is! This group is taking it’s “divide and conquer” strategy directly out of the North Miami playbook. Daniela is just saying the quite part out loud, as Keith Myers astutely noted in his comment.

This is also not the first time that Daniela’s racist agenda has been on display. Anyone remember this night a few years ago? https://www.votersopinion.com/2022/12/05/daniela-jeans-terrible-horrible-no-good-very-bad-meeting/

      Absolutely DISGUSTING!

  3. How do you start speaking in your native tongue, and tell people in the audience that Haitians need to stick together, or you’ll lose the city. What? How about All the people of NMB need to stick together and make our city great for all residents! We also need to make sure people running for office need to be truthful and actually live in the city. People need not go around getting petitions signed with misleading information. Our city needs transparency! Wish we could have a mayor and all 6 commissioners that feel the same way.

    1. Unfortunately, Daniela Jean is a loudmouthed racist who despises anyone who is not Haitian. She even hates some Haitians who don’t think like her, so she’s an equal opportunity hater.

This woman is nothing but trouble and you guys are stuck with her for another 2-1/2 years. All I can say is to make sure you do not elect anyone that she or Michael Joseph are behind or you will have 4 to 8 more years of the same racist crap to deal with.

  4. So sad to see, all the power grabbing, and that they all keep playing the racist card to get what they want.

  5. She just said aloud what we already know: Representation in NMB skewed to Haitians because 3 of our Commissioners are Haitian. This does not properly reflect the makeup of our city. Maybe there should be a petition against racism in our city.

    1. Haitians represent approximately 22% of the population of North Miami Beach — not the 50% that they claim.

Hispanics represent more than 40% of the population, yet they are basically ignored.

I have written about this over the years and nothing has changed. When you had four Haitians on the dais, the vast majority of city funds were spent on events catering to Haitians. Almost nothing was spent on Hispanic Heritage Month, Asian American and Pacific Islander Month, and especially Jewish Heritage month, despite the fact that Jews make up 33% of the the population in North Miami-Dade County (and mostly in NMB)!

Once again, Daniela’s racist remarks serve only to remind residents that the “petition” they are circulating is for the sole purpose of extending their reign of terror of NMB residents for another ten years and beyond.

The residents need to band together and say no to racism!

  6. Are all politicians so vile or is it only south florida? They believe they can do whatever they want and break any laws in the process because these government agencies, like OIG and Ethics board, do nothing. Where do we go from here when the governor and government officials will do nothing? (And yes I’m also referring to Tamarac).

  7. Message to someone calling itself “Village Moron Finder:”

    You are a pussy.

If you want to publicly trash me or any of my readers, have the courage to use your real name like I do. I won’t publish garbage from anonymous cowards who are too afraid to come out of their mama’s basement and confront their adversaries face to face.

    1. This douchenozzle tried to post two more comments in a vain attempt to insult me. He even dared me to “have the courage to make my comment public.”

I will, sweetie, when you have the courage to stop hiding under your mama’s skirt and reveal your real identity.

Until then, stay anonymous and have no voice here, you dumb bastard LOLOLOLOL!
