Frantzie Watch: VINDICATED!

Long-time readers of this blog will know that North Miami Beach “Faux” Commissioner Frantz “Weasel” Pierre has been on our radar for years.

Our personal “Frantzie Watch” started long before VotersOpinion was launched in 2010.  In fact, we knew trouble was on the horizon from the minute that pint-sized succubus strutted into City Hall the day he was elected on May Day, 2007.

True story!

The North Miami Beach Little League held its 2007 season year-end annual awards ceremony and banquet at NMB City Hall on the same evening the new council members were sworn into office.  That night, Frantzie and his invited guests were celebrating in the Mayor and Council office on the second floor.

Our Little League families were partaking in a celebratory buffet on the first floor of the building in the large hallway between the auditorium and the meeting rooms.  Our Little League kids ate for free, while the parents and other volunteers purchased their own meals and were required to wear a special wristband in order to be served at the buffet table as proof that they paid.

All of a sudden three women appeared out of nowhere and starting loading their plates up with mountains of food at the buffet.  None of us recognized these women, nor were they wearing the buffet wristbands.

Three Little League Board members, including this blogger who was the President, approached the women to let them know this was a private event, and that our food was only for the parents of the Little League who had purchased the wristbands.

The women became indignant, and one of them rudely spat out, “We are with Councilman Frantz Pierre!”

Needless to say, an argument ensued.  It did not end well for the women, who ended up having to be escorted out of the party … after we made them toss their their full plates of our food into the garbage can, and then told them exactly what they could do with their “Councilman Frantz Pierre.”

That was only the first sign of many to come that Frantz Pierre’s arrogance and out-sized sense of entitlement was going to be a huge problem for the City of North Miami Beach.

In any event, the trouble started on May 1, 2007 … and ended on July 25, 2018, ironically both just happen to be significant dates to this blogger for personal, albeit very different, reasons.  Nevertheless, yesterday’s arrest of the most corrupt politician in all of South Florida is a very fitting end to an eleven year nightmare.

Oh, yeah!  We’ve waited a long time to see that smug face in a mug shot!

For years, this blogger and other like-minded individuals have known how this corrupt Sociopath of NMB has been committing crimes against the residents of North Miami Beach.  In addition to abusing his “official” position by threatening a Code Enforcement Officer, for which the Miami-Dade Commission on Ethics and Public Trust bitch-slapped him royally, we have documented his every move.

We recount yet again the list of multiple acts of misfeasance and malfeasance committed by Frantz Pierre.  Until today’s arrest, he’s been able to avoid being investigated, arrested and prosecuted for:

In addition, the Weasel of NMB has been the subject of five, count ’em five, Internal Affairs investigations by the North Miami Beach Police Department for, among other things, the attempted framing of a city employee, accusing another employee of framing him, tampering with the water meter of the same employee, falsely accusing yet another employee of rigging a bid, and stealing city water in the middle of the night.

Despite IA Sergeant Rick Silberman concurring that Frantz Pierre was guilty of all accusations, nothing stuck.

Even though we’ve been documenting Frantzie’s every move for over a decade, we had no idea he was “shaking down a strip club operator in exchange for votes to extend the club’s liquor license hours and with pocketing money from a school program that did not exist,” as reported by the Miami Herald yesterday.

The Herald article noted, “Pierre’s 21-page arrest warrant outlines several incidents dating back to 2013 in which the commissioner is alleged to have traded votes for money and had city grants awarded to non-profits, which then wrote checks back to Pierre. In one of the cases, investigators say the city awarded money to a non-profit that never existed.”

That strip club operator mentioned in the Herald is Dean Tyler, the owner of Dean’s Gold, a business in North Miami Beach.  For some weird reason, Mr. Tyler stupidly believed Frantzie’s sob story “that he had been in a car wreck and needed a $7,000 loan, quickly.”  He “loaned” Frantzie the money, which of course was never repaid.  That was the first of many checks that Frantzie conned out of Dean Tyler, but more on that in a moment.

The most infuriating part is that Katherine Fernandez Rundle is also claiming that the investigation of former Mayor George Vallejo led to her investigation of career criminal Frantz Pierre.

Oh, REALLY?

She’s really  gonna pretend Frantz Pierre was never on her radar until she investigated George?

Oh!  Puh-LEEZE!

Let’s remind the State Attorney of her first missed opportunity  to bring down the Weasel in the spring of 2011, weeks before a City Council election.

As we previously reported in an April 24, 2016 post, Frantzie Watch: Livin’ The Thug Life:

Epilogue: The Heretofore Untold Story

It will come as absolutely no surprise to many of us if Kathy drops the ball.

In 2011, my team and I hired a private investigator to uncover absentee ballot fraud in North Miami Beach.  In conjunction with the Miami-Dade Police Department’s Public Corruption Unit that was in place at the time, thousands of our personal and taxpayer dollars were spent on a sting operation designed to catch the known North Miami Beach ballot brokers.

Although Frantz Pierre was not the intended target, we hit pay dirt when he showed up and we caught him – ON VIDEO – attempting to sell five absentee ballots to our undercover “agent.”

Law enforcement officers were at the scene, ready to make an arrest, when Katherine Fernandez Rundle ordered them to stand down and declared that she was not going to prosecute for absentee ballots “under double digits.”

Kathy was obviously unclear on, or deliberately chose to ignore, the actual law.

Considering her own entanglement with absentee ballot fraud, I’m guessing it’s the latter.

Florida Statute 104.0616(2) clearly states, “Any person who provides or offers to provide, and any person who accepts, a pecuniary or other benefit in exchange for distributing, ordering, requesting, collecting, delivering, or otherwise physically possessing more than two absentee ballots per election in addition to his or her own ballot or a ballot belonging to an immediate family member, except as provided in ss. 101.6105-101.694, commits a misdemeanor of the first degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082, s. 775.083, or s. 775.084.”

If Rundle had truly wanted to stop absentee ballot fraud, she had her chance.  She chose to look the other way.

In addition to hours and hours of costly manpower spent on this operation, approximately $2,500.00 of taxpayer money that was used to “purchase” the absentee ballots was never recovered.

The videotape was turned over to the State Attorney, never to be seen again.

Shortly after that fiasco, the MDPD’s Public Corruption Unit was mysteriously disbanded.

At least one member of that elite unit soon retired from the Miami-Dade Police Department in disgust.

Our “agent,” a private NMB citizen, worked with the Public Corruptions Unit to set up the sting of the absentee ballot fraud crime ring.  He was given the sum of $2,500.00 in cash to set up a meeting with the suspect to buy 100 absentee ballots, then risked his life by wearing a wire to the meeting described above.

Fortunately, no one got hurt.  Or worse.

Unfortunately, Frantzie “won” his seat back, thanks to absentee ballot fraud, with Katherine Fernandez Rundle’s blessing.

Then there’s Frantzie’s usual schtick of using bogus “non-profits” to steal public money, a matter we first brought to her attention in March of 2012.

We had discovered that a woman by the name of Marie Eleazard, who was registered to vote at Frantzie’s house even though she lived in Pembroke Pines, also received a grant from the North Miami Beach Police Department’s Law Enforcement Trust Fund to her “non-profit,” the now-defunct Center for Family Empowerment.

As a result, this blogger was invited to sit for an interview with the Public Corruption Unit, yet their investigation fizzled out.  Several years later, one of the investigators, who had since retired, told us Kathy Rundle called them off and told them to drop the matter.

Center for Family Empowerment happens to be the same bogus “non-profit” that Frantzie used to launder money through the Haitian Evangelical Baptist Church that he conned out of … well, what do you know? … Dean’s Gold!

We followed that money trail, did some digging, and then reported:

It seems that in 2013, Frantz Pierre conned a North Miami Beach business into donating money for his “turkey giveaway.”  A company by the name of Platinum South, Inc., doing business as a North Miami Beach strip club by the name of DEAN’S GOLD, gave him a check in the amount of $2,500.00 for the church.

In typical Frantzie fashion, when he turned over the Dean’s Gold check to the Haitian Evangelical Baptist Church, he demanded a $2,500.00 check “in exchange” so that he could “pick up an order of turkeys for Thanksgiving.”

In typical Frantzie fashion, he “never returned with the items.”

And in typical Frantzie fashion, he claimed he “purchased turkeys for the homeless,” but couldn’t come up with any receipts for them.

For some reason, Frantzie’s theft of that first $2,500.00 he conned out of Dean’s Gold under the guise of a “turkey giveaway,” wasn’t even mentioned in the State Attorney’s arrest warrant.  Nor was that amount included in the “over $20,000 in exchange for voting in favor of a special operating license for the North Miami Beach Dean’s Gold Strip Club, allowing the club to serve alcohol after-hours,” as first announced by Channel 7’s Rosh Lowe in an exclusive story yesterday.

If the Miami State Attorney had done her job back in 2011, and investigated Frantz Pierre for all the crimes he’s gotten away with all these years, North Miami Beach wouldn’t be in the mess it’s in now.

Yet, all of a sudden … six years later … the Miami State Attorney is self-righteously exclaiming, “If someone thinks that they can use their public position as a cash cow to take public money, think again.”

But now, not only is she basking in the limelight for doing what she should have done seven years ago, she’s claiming that she only learned of Frantz Pierre’s criminal activity during her investigation of George Vallejo?

Just stop it, Kathy!  We’re not idiots.

Even though it’s taken seven years for Katherine Fernandez Rundle to do her job, NMB residents should heave a collective sigh of relief that justice has finally been served.

Frantz Pierre is finally under arrest.

He’s about to get fired by Miami-Dade Public Schools.

Hopefully, he will soon be removed by the Governor from the seat he’s been illegally occupying on the North Miami Beach City Commission dais.

Of course, his attorney, Ben Kuehne (bless his heart) said his client is innocent, and told the Miami Herald, “Commissioner Pierre asserts he has done nothing wrong.  He’s always acted in the public interest and we will investigate the allegations.”

On a serious note, however, as soon as the news of Frantz Pierre’s arrest was made public, Mayor Beth Spiegel gave us the following statement:

These allegations are shocking.  If true, they are completely unacceptable and are the antithesis of public service.

On a personal level, I’m upset, shocked and concerned.  On behalf of me, my fellow commissioners and the employees of the great city of North Miami Beach, I want our residents to know that city will continue to move forward.  The services we provide, including police, sanitation, water, and all other services, will continue unabated and uninterrupted.

Good to know.  We’re pretty sure, however, that’s only because Frantzie never got his hands on the keys to the police, sanitation, or water departments.

So there’s that.

The long awaited arrest of Frantz Pierre has resulted in getting one more criminal off the streets.

Nevertheless, we are compelled to remind North Miami Beach residents that on May 24, 2018 the Ethics Commission found Frantz Pierre guilty of abusing his “official” position.

Three hours later, by a 5-1 vote, the Commission appointed him as YOUR VICE MAYOR!

While yesterday’s arrest of Franz Pierre may have come as a surprise to most people, the members of the NMB Commission knew for months that this was coming down the pike.

And yet, despite being armed with this knowledge, they still chose to “honor” Frantzie with the title of Vice Mayor.

The only one on the dais who had the good sense and the decency to vote against this insanely inappropriate decision was Anthony De Fillipo, who is now running for Mayor of your City.

Keep this in mind when you head to the polls in November.

  1. Steph. A few points. First, It’s not fair that you should be having such fun. Second, any idea why Rundle slow walked all this? Third, why did this come to a head now? Fourth, did he share the money with other elected officials?

    1. You’re right. It’s not fair that I’m having so much fun. But, I can’t help myself.

I have no clue why Rundle does what she does. It’s one of life’s greatest mysteries.

As for Frantzie sharing money … oh, hell no! That greedy little weasel wouldn’t share a damn dime with anyone, much less anyone else on the dais. We wouldn’t be surprised if he makes his own children pay for their dinners.

  2. Why does Ben Kuehne take this case? Who is paying him? Or does he take these cases as “advertisement” for his practice? Perhaps he knows this case will get a lot of publicity and as they say, “any publicity is good publicity.”

No way Pierre will be able to pay the bill.

And I wonder how long before Frantzie and Jacquelin are terminated from their employ at the Miami Dade County Public School District.

    1. I have no idea what it will take for Ben Kuehne to drop Frantzie as a client. The Weasel couldn’t even raise the $35k for bail as of last night (according to the Herald), so how on earth can he afford Kuehne?

Then again, Kuehne kept defending Myron (and still is, I think) long after Myron could afford to pay him. So who knows?

  3. Steph, the the Affidavit it states that both Marlen and George gave discretionary funds to a non-profit that turned out to be involved in this crime. I am not intimating that either was in on it. I mention that because it may have been George’s check to the non-profit that led to the discovery of this particular set of facts….facts that may have led to the discovery that he was shaking down Dean’s Gold. Possibly…that is why KFR says that one led to the other

In any event, you have been riding him hard for years…rightfully so. And you should gloat in the end result.

He was removed from office last night by the Gov.

    1. David, let me clarify that I have not been “riding him for years” but exposing his corruption. The arrest of a corrupt politician is a victory for the residents of North Miami Beach, the city I loved and raised my family in for 25 years. As much as I would love to gloat, there is no celebration in the fact that the residents and stakeholders of NMB have been financially raped and duped by someone in whom they put their public trust by electing this criminal to a seat on the dais of their government. It’s actually quite sad. The only way to turn this ship around is for the voters to make sure to elect representatives who are honest, ethical and whom they hope will not betray the public trust.

  4. Wheee! How sweet it is. I hope he gets the max and is then denationalized and deported!!!!!

AND, YES YOU SHOULD STOP HAVING SO MUCH FUN!

It is problematic that this would have ultimately happened without your persistent efforts to expose this little bastard!

  5. Excuse me sir. This man happens to be my uncle and he was in fact in a car accident in 2014. His Kidneys were destroyed in it. I don’t believe this boogas bribery story at all. People like you have been trying to get him removed for forever now. There is no proof that he was bribed. For all we know that tge owner of the strip club. Could havee been his friend and he got a loan from him. The text messages don’t provw anything. Also I don’t appreciate the fact you keep calling him a weasel. I bet you never met him before. Because if you did you too wouldn’t believe such bad things like this. I dont mean any disrespect I just wish you would stop judging people you dont know.

    1. Excuse me, sir. I do know your “uncle,” and I do know he is a piece of crap, criminal, self-aggrandizing son of a bitch. Address all the crimes he’s already committed and then come back and try and defend him. In the meantime, he got exactly what he deserves. I hope he rots in prison.

  6. It’s no surprise that Evan Ross was instrumental in getting Frantz his seat back so he could use that as leverage to shake down people seeking favors from Frantz, fortunately Frantz didn’t get to stick around long. If you want to kneel who the corrupt electeds are just follow who Evan Ross is supporting, and if your smart vote against that candidate.
