As of today, we have 22 outstanding Public Records Requests with the City of North Miami Beach, the oldest one going as far back as March 6, 2022.

Several of these requests were “partially” fulfilled.

And by “partially,” we mean the City has deliberately excluded those documents that would either incriminate City Manager Arthur “Duke” Sorey or, at the very least, further prove his incompetence.

Duke is holding some of our other requests for ransom, knowing full well we are not about to pay exorbitant “Extensive Use Fees,” like the $2,022.69 the City invoiced us in response to our April 14, 2022 Public Records Request for copies of all bills for legal fees the City has paid since February 2, 2021.

Obviously, City “Attorney” Hans Ottinot doesn’t want to explain the $1,692,739.84 North Miami Beach taxpayers spent on legal fees during his first year of employment, which is $762,739.84 more than his annual $930,000.00 budget for all legal fees.

Nevertheless, we are keeping track of all our public records requests, and we fully intend to get them eventually.

It will be much easier to do so after the election if Criminal Commissioner Paule Villard is voted out, and Jay Chernoff, Phyllis Smith, and Fortuna Smukler all win their respective races.

That’s okay.

We’re patient.

We have all the time in the world.

If all goes well, Government in the Sunshine will once again be in fashion in North Miami Beach.

Then the audits will commence and, hopefully, result in perp walks.

In the meantime, however, we’ve also been patiently waiting for a very special Public Records Request for a specific document allegedly in the possession of our “favorite” Criminal Commissioner, Paule Villard.

But, first, a teaser.

We’ve already proven that Paule Villard constantly lies about having been a “Police Sergeant” for anywhere between 24 and 28 years, depending on her audience.

She even posted this lie on her bio page on the City’s website.

In fact, she even published this flat out lie on one of her campaign mailers.

The truth, however, is that Paule the Mall Cop only worked at the City of Miami as a “police officer“ (and we use that term loosely) for exactly 21 years (not 28) and not a single day longer.

In fact, she retired exactly 21 years to the day that she was hired, as a “police officer,” and not a “Police Sergeant.”

Then again, we already knew that Paule Villard is a pathological liar, so this is hardly surprising.

What’s also not surprising is that Paule Villard may not hold the “Master of Science Degree” from Barry University that she claims to have.

In fact, this public official included her many “degrees” on her public City bio page, which makes those alleged “degrees” a matter of public record.

Okay, we’ll bite.

Paule Villard herself has proven time and time again that she’s literally the stupidest elected official ever to sit on the dais in North Miami Beach.

She can’t even speak in coherent complete sentences even with using text messages on her phone as a teleprompter.

We can’t even begin to imagine how this ignoramus managed to earn an Associate of Arts Degree, much less an alleged Master of Science Degree.

Stranger things have happened, so we tried to keep an open mind.

On October 20, 2022, we made the following Public Records Request:

Per the attached screenshot of Paule Villard’s City bio, she claims she has a “Master of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education with Minor in Pre-K/Primary Education, Barry University.” As the custodian of her educational records, Paule Villard is able to provide a copy of said Master of Science Degree. Please obtain a copy and provide it to me in accordance with Chapter 119 of the Florida Statutes.

We figured that since Paule is so very proud of her “Master of Science Degree,” she would rush to provide it to anyone who asked.

Even if it’s just to prove us wrong.

Welp, it’s now been 15 days and counting and we still have not received a response to our Public Records Request. Apparently, she’s in no rush.

Paule has had more than enough time to prove for once and for all that she does, in fact, have a “Master of Science Degree.”

The fact that she is refusing to produce a copy of her alleged “Master of Science Degree” only proves one thing — SHE DOESN’T HAVE ONE!

Criminal Commissioner Paule Villard can still save face and prove us wrong by providing her alleged Master of Science Degree in response to our Public Records Request, and we will be only too happy to publish it right here on VotersOpinion for all the world to see.

C’mon, Paule. Here’s your chance to prove us wrong!
